Mittens is the sweetest cat around! She is a purrfect people cat! Loves to snuggle, rolls over and wants belly scratches and purrs the whole time. Mittens had a rough start in life and had three litters of cats before she was 2 years old! Mittens is ready for a luxurious life with lots of human attention and cuddles. Mittens needs a home without other cats. However, Mittens would LOVE a home with kids and children, and would make a great cat for any family.

Just like her name, Poppy is like a beautiful flower with a super bright and wonderful personality. She is super friendly and enjoys sitting on your lap kneading and doing headbutts. The dazzling beauty can't wait to meet you and watch her love for you grow. She is strong, healthy and pretty brave, being able to stay pretty calm during plane rides and going outdoors. She was from Chicago. She's almost three years now and still have the playfulness, energy and clinginess of a baby kitty. We love Poppy very much, but needs to make the super difficult choice of rehoming her, as we are moving ourselves due to job changes and can't take her with us. We are looking for someone who could take good care of her and offer her a long-term home. We will provide her favorite toys and snacks, and her carrier.

I rescued Cheetah about 7 years ago and raised him with love. He is about 8 years old and very friendly cat. He's never hissed to someone else. He is very lovely, friendly and kind cat. I don't want to let him go but I just have to because I am moving back to my home country and it is not possible to live with cat there. I am looking for someone has stable and large location so Cheetah doesn't have to move around anymore.

Looking for a loving home for my 2.5 year old male cat. Unfortunately, my roommate is extremely allergic and we are no longer able to keep him. He is friendly, loving, cuddly, and great with other animals. We are sad to see him go and want to make sure he is in good hands. He has gotten all of his shots and is in good health. Please dm me if interested 🫶

Story
Hello, please consider helping park cat colony of 8. I do a lot of TNR and have rescued MANY, MANY cats. References available! Colony of 8 located in Jersey City park needs relocation. The cats are all feral and finding homes for them is NOT an option. The cats are often abused by locals and their food gets trashed by kids. At one point, a city employee was blocking the hole that the cats use to gain access into the park! I've reached out to EVERYONE but no one can help. Also, eventually, there will be park renovations which WILL cut off park access to the cats regardless. All cats are fixed. I was able to potentially secure an out of state organization but 8 cats will cost roughly $4000. Please consider making a donation. Also needed is an extra good trapper that knows how to use a net. I'll do anything to help you, if you could help us. Thank you. I may be reached at 201.916.7515 or mmaya@striketechnologies.com

Quick facts about Al: -9(ish) year-old -Grateful for a roof over his head and food in his belly -Doesn't crave human snuggles BUT a cat pal is non-negotiable -Once Al warms up, he enjoys human company on his terms -Low-maintenance and chill -But, also, he has one-eye and a tuxedo on all the time so he's cool and edgy -Carries his catnip banana around muttering "say hello to my little friend!" Ciao, hi, hello. My name is Al Pacino and I am a 9 year old semi-feral tuxedo cat. I used to live in a demolition zone in the streets of Jersey City and foreign object poked through my eye. UGHH, that was definitely not a highlight in my life, but I am tough boy! I went through inoculation surgery and removal of the eye and now I am all healed up and living the good life in a safe foster home. I am looking for a calm home with an experienced adopter who has other feline brothers and sisters for me to hang out with. I will do best in a home where the adopter is ok with a "hands off" approach and let me blossom at my own pace. My favorite thing to do is chill out with my cat buddies, relax, play with our catnip toys and of course, eat my favorite treats (I mean come on, who wouldn’t want that!). If you are looking for low maintenance and calm guy like me who isn’t ready to be pet or held yet (I will likely rub up against you during feeding time), I would love to meet you and settle in my forever home. Ciao, Al Pacino

Just call me The Captain, all my friends do. From what I'm told, I look a little bit different from other cats. But I don't know what the big deal is, I am just missing an eye. I feel fine and I *think* that I act like every other cat. When I was living on the streets, I had a really hard time out there. I had to fight for my food and pretend to be a big bad boy in front of the other cats. Something happened to one of my eyes and luckily I found a nice woman who decided to take me in as a foster and get my injured eye removed and all fixed up. Everyone at the vet just loved me! Gosh I wished they adopted me and made me the office cat. My foster mom calls me "her scarf" because I like to sit on her neck and go to sleep. I also think it is because my fur is so soft. She always tells me that I am such a good boy. I live with other cats in my foster home and we have an understanding. They don't bother me, and I don't bother them. I like stealing their toys though and am trying to get comfortable more and more with them in hopes we can hang and play in the sun together. I would love to live in a home with my new furever family, can’t wait to meet you! Aye Aye, Captain

Story
Hello there, I am Lord Sweet Cheeks! That’s right, I am named after my adorable sweet cheeks. I am a 6 year old tabby boy that was bullied in the Jersey City streets and was quite elusive moving from one feral feeding spot to another hoping to settle down with some friendly companions. I re-emerged at one of my locations under a car emaciated and in terrible condition and was thankfully found and brought to the vet to bring me back to health … boy that was a close one! I am neutered, litterbox trained and vaccinated and in great health now. I am learning to trust my human foster parents and find a safe space in their home to watch them curiously from afar (I am very treat oriented, I mean who isn’t?). I like to explore when no one is looking and peer out a sunny window. I don’t have a hostile bone in my body, I am just still nervous and it will take time for me to warm up to you (I am definitely not ready to be a lap cat, lol). I miss being around other feline friends, so I should have a calm feline buddy in my next home … I think being around another cat will help me to come more out of my shell. I am FIV+ … and just so everyone knows, FIV+ cats can live with FIV- cats and not infect the FIV- buddies according to the Dep’t of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. So please don’t be scared off by this, I will just need grain free quality food and some check-ups at the vet once in a while. If you are looking for a feline boy like me that needs patience and understanding, I would love to meet you and feel like I can start settling into a safe and permanent home … and with time you can rub and squeeze my sweet cheeks. I can’t wait to feel that kind of love. Sending positive energy out there. Love, Lord Sweet Cheeks

Story
Happy Day to You, pleased to meet you! My name is Sunshine and I was in a 77-cat hoarding situation this past summer. I didn’t think it was hoarding, I had lots of friends to buddy up with, who knew that was a problem? The landlord stuffed me in cages with a bunch of my friends and threw us into a hot, humid, and dirty basement. I was terrified my world was falling apart and all my friends were taken away. Thank my lucky stars, I was saved from that situation and now love running around my foster home with my new friend Mini, a pretty white/calico girlfriend. She doesn’t really want to play with me, but she is definitely warming up to me after I am persistent with being near her as much as possible. I am a pretty girl with a unique tabby designed coat and very dainty with small little paws and a long slightly crooked tail. I am FIV+ but am living and thriving with non-FIV+ cats … and just so everyone knows, FIV+ cats can live with FIV- and not infect the FIV- buddies according to the Dep’t of Veterinary Clinical Sciences. So please don’t be scared off by this, I will just need grain free quality food and some check-ups at the vet once in a while. I am always entertaining myself running around kicking my toys, trying to make Mini play chase (I catch her doing it sometimes, even though she won’t admit she likes it), playfully rolling on my back for some attention and resting in the sun in comfortable places. My foster dad feeds me Churu sticks and I am getting closer and closer to allowing him to pet me. He said he can’t keep me, but says I will never be put back in a compromising situation. Are you looking for a feline like me? So excited to meet my new family. Lots of love, sunlight and good energy, Sunshine

Story
Happy day to you, this is Luna and Hagrid, we are two bonded senior cats whose life has recently been transformed and we are looking for that special family to give us a permanent, calm and loving home. Let me say hi first, I am Luna and a female calico lady and smaller and daintier than my bud Hagrid. I like to take the lead, am a little sassy and more outgoing. And I am Hagrid, a big boy tabby. I am laid back and more cautious that my girlie friend Luna. I just think I am smarter and not putting myself out there in precarious situations, lol. Alright Hagrid, that’s enough from you for now, they all want to hear from me of course. Anyway, when we were much younger and cute kittens, we were house cats thinking we had the best life. All of sudden, we were put out on the streets as we got a little bigger (so rude, right?!?!). Hagrid and I decided we would never leave each other’s sides and would always take care of each other no matter what. We found a few people that kept feeding us, but were way to scared to ever go into anyone’s home, I mean come on, how could we trust any of those humans again? And we are proud to say we were making it ok outside even through the crazy winters and all the fast moving traffic in the streets of jersey city. One of our feeders decided it was time for us to get off the streets as we approached our double-digit age … we gave her a tough time, so she called PAD PAWS Animal Rescue and they trapped us and took us off the streets right before a bad winter approached. We are in this cool apartment with a really nice couple. They seem to be quite gentle and sweet and are always giving us our space and yummy treats, but it’s taking us time to trust them. I (Luna) am more adventurous and am starting to get closer and closer to my foster partners. On the other hand, Hagrid likes to keep his distance, but I know he is coming around and will be more out and about just like me. I will have to tell you, it is really so much nicer inside and Hagrid and I have decided we want to live out our golden years together in a home with warmth, comfort and security. We can’t go back outside again, we just can’t! Anyway, thanks for listening, Hagrid and I have agreed it’s that time to find our permanent home with someone who is willing to give us some time and patience. We really aren’t much trouble at all but not quite ready to be petted or handled. But I think with the right family, we will come around with some time, we have made so much progress already and know that we are special couple 😊 Hope to meet you soon! Luna and Hagrid

Martin (aka Marty) is a healthy 16 year old who needs to move from a loud, chaotic home with young kids to a quieter home with 1 or 2 adults. I adopted Marty when he was 3 and I lived alone, and he was the best kitty companion. While not keen on being picked up and cuddled, he loved to sit near me on the couch/desk/table or sleep on your feet in bed and purr away. This continued when I moved in with my now spouse. So I can confirm that he is happy in a 1-2 adult home. But unfortunately Marty has been quite unhappy since I had kids in the last several years. I thought he would get used to them, but he never has. He deserves a quiet, kid-free life. He is independent and a little skittish, but never aggressive. Marty is the picture of health. He is up to date on shots and bloodwork and does not have a single known health concern. He is still agile and quick. He seems more like a 10 year old than a 16 year old.
