Our cat Wiet is 6 years old, we got her as a kitten from a shelter. She is lively, playful, affectionate and easy going animal. She likes to ly on your lap but will also go after toys (mouse) and brings them back to you. She is healthy, well fed and likes to be inside and outside (especially in the summer). Unfortunately my wife has had some health issues and recently was diagnosed with severe allergy (especially for cats) which we suspect is causing these issues. So it is unfortunate but we need to find a new home for her. That new home could be any home, as long as she gets attention as she is an affectionate cat (especially in the evening, she can pur on you lap fro hours) .Kids are not a problem as they can play with her and she is generally easy going. She loves to go outside now and then and she always returns. We can provide all the supplies etc.

Ms Tuna was formerly Bideawee's leading lady. She is a very cute silver tabby that has a unique personality to match her distinctive name. She was rescued off the streets of New Jersey in November of 2012 and was living at Bideawee. She is hoping to find her forever home at the Foundation. She enjoys being around people but prefers affection on her own terms. Once she is comfortable around you and in a relaxing environment, Ms. Tuna loves being scratched behind the ears. She is chatty and knows how to get what she wants. She would do best with an experienced cat owner who understands her independent nature. She would also do best in a quiet household. She would prefer to be the only cat, but might ok with another serene feline.

Scout (grey female) and Jem (black and white male) are a brother/sister pair we adopted after a raccoon killed the rest of their litter and their mother abandoned them. They are incredibly sweet and affectionate. They enjoy physical attention and pets and want to be near you much of the time. They never bite and are generally big mushes. The reason that we are trying to re-home them is because we have two toddlers and two dogs as well, and Jem has become reclusive because of some incident with the dogs we didn't witness. They also shed, as many cats do, which is tough on us with toddlers running around putting everything in their mouths. These would be great cats for someone who wants low maintenance and affectionate pets to cuddle with at night. I don't think we can bring ourselves to split them up so we're only interested if an adopter wants them both.

Our vet reached out about Jack when they found out that his owners wanted to euthanize a very healthy boy just because they were moving and he doesn’t like the car. We of course jumped in and made it so that never happened! Now this sweet boys life is turned upside down and he has now been uprooted from his home and at our vet until he we find him a foster or forever home. He is such a sweet boy and deserves a home that isn’t going to leave him behind all because they are moving. JACK does require S/O food due to a history of urinary stones. But since his diet, he has had no problems! This sweet boy just wants a home, will that be you?    This baby is spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccinations, is FIV and FeLV/Feline Leukemia Negative, and ready to find a soft spot to land and enjoy a family!   we are a foster based organization located on Long Island, NY. Cedric's feeling sad because after 3 years living with a family--he was originally adopted as a kitten--he was returned when the daughter developed allergies. But this handsome tabby is keeping his paws crossed that he'll find a new, permanent home with someone who'll appreciate his funny, chill personality. His foster tells us he's  affectionate and patient by nature, and he absolutely adores water--he likes to sit in the shower after it’s been used (we suspect he's part seal) and when he's in the mood, he'll stop by to let you brush him and will snuggle up with you on the couch or bed. However, like so many cats, he does not like to be picked up. Cedric warms up to new people quickly and enjoys napping by his person, in sunny spots or curled up in the closet, and he'd do best in a quiet home as an only pet.   ##933908##
