American Shorthair kittens & cats in Maryville, Tennessee

Felix a 5 year old neutered male indoor only kitty. He is great with kids and other cats. He would do best in a quiet home environment with no dogs or dogs that are very calm and gentle. He is very loving at night and loves “ baking biscuits” on you and cuddling. My son has severe allergies that have landed him in the hospital and we recently found out he is extremely allergic to cats. Please if you can give Felix a wonderful home reach out to me. I am bonded to my sister Ghost Pepper 56225844 in foster, and we will need to be adopted together.

Nala is very sweet and loving. She will cuddle on the couch with you or is good with laying in her cat tree. Nala does good with other cats and dogs once she gets familiar with them. She is very low maintenance- no separation anxiety and not on any medications. We leave her food out and she just grazes all day. She is litter boxed trained. Available as of June ‘24

Nova is very sweet and loving. She loves to play with toys or just lay on the couch. She does great with other cats and dogs. Does not have any medical issues. She is spayed.

Skeeter was born 4/20/2024. We rescued her mom not knowing she was pregnant. Skeeter is curious, playful and sweet. She will be a purrfect addition to any home.

I found him as a stray at my apartment complex. I was only planning on keeping him temporarily but he ended up staying for a lot longer than originally planned. I would love to keep him but due to allergies he can't stay anymore. He's a sweet cat and it's very neat and kind, and he can be kinda lazy. He's never given me any problems with aggressiveness and he did live with another cat for a while and they got along great.

The contact information is listed at the end of each biography.  What you need to do to adopt:If you would like to adopt a pet in need from Almost Home, basically, an application must be filled out. We will check two personal references and a vet reference. If you are approved for adoption, there is a trial period of about one week to make sure this is the animal for you and you are the person for the animal. Along with the trial period, a contract must be signed that basically states that if ever you cannot keep the animal that you must return the animal to Almost Home. Last but not least, a home check will be done. Meet & Greets:An approved application is required. This does not mean that you have to adopt but that you are approved to do so if everything works out. He melted in my arms as to say “thank you”. I'm pretty sure he thinks he’s a dog. He makes the sweetest “coos”, wags his tail when he’s happy and rolls over for belly rubs. If you cannot get it to work, let us know and we will email it to you in a different format.Unless otherwise noted, all Almost Home cats are healthy, spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and flea & tick preventative.  ADOPTION FEE: The adoption fee for a cat is $85. The adoption fee for a kitten is $100. The adoption fee does include the kittens being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. The adoption fee for a dog is $200. The adoption fee for a puppy is $250. The adoption fee does include the puppies being fixed and their rabies shot when they are old enough through one of our local vets. Mature pet adoption fees are sometimes reduced. The adoption fee for pure bred dogs and cats will vary due to health and age of pet. This helps support our ill animals and our mutts that get left in the system longer. We do reserve the right to change the fees higher or lower due to the circumstance of the animal but what was stated above are the usual adoption fees.  Microchipped pets will have a higher adoption fee.  Our adoption fees do not cover the cost of the vetting and care the animal has received with us and if it ever does, the money just goes back it to helping other animals in need. July 20, 2024, 6:40 pm
