My cat is named Tawney and she is about 3 1/2 yrs old. She is a very passive sweet kitty that likes to lounge around the house a lot but she likes the outdoors as well. Favorit petting spot is on her lower back. I am very sad because I have to give her up for adoption. She has a very hard time breathing sometimes. I asked my veterinarian (when I took another one of my cats) what could be wrong with her. I described the symptoms and she said it could be asthma. My job went from full-time to part-time and I was in the hospital for a while so I can't afford to have all of the texts done to determine if it is asthma. Also it takes an experienced person to take care of a cat with this type of condition. It also costs money that I don't have. I just want a person or persons to love and care for her as much as I do. She needs medication to live a healthy, fun life which she so deserves. Please Consider adopting my little baby. She gets along with other cats but not sure about kids or dogs.

Smitty has been with our family for over 22 yrs. My husband and I moved to a ranch in Groesbeck, Texas in June 2023. We moved here as our second home and Smitty lived and loved the barn which was more spacious and he was able to go out at night which is a cats life. Sleep all day and stay up all night. He’s old and just needs a place where he can sleep, eat and potty. He uses a litter box. Has dry food during the day and eats a can of fancy feast senior seafood for dinner. Drinks lots of water as well. He and my husband were very close. Who passed away in June 2024. The barn burned down January 4th, 2026. I’m having to sell now and this is why I’m rehoming him.

Cat was picked up from someone local who got him off the streets. Roughly 9-10 months old. Responds best to the name "Kitty" because that is what people in the neighborhood used to call him when he was a stray kitten. I can no longer afford the financial nor opportunity costs of maintaining him by myself and prefer that he is taken to stay with a different and experienced owner who will keep him healthy and safe. Cat is docile and friendly with humans but hostile towards dogs and avoidant of other cats. Mostly an outdoor cat but will come indoors to take naps or eat. If kept indoors for long he may need several toys and scratching posts or long and frequent play times to distract him from persistently damaging things in the house. May often leave to roam outdoors late at night and not return for several hours (~14 max) but does not travel more than 1 street away as he is afraid of running cars.
