Story
Ella is a rescue and the sweetest girl. She just soaks up being loved. She has separation anxiety so all property has to be out of her reach and all doors closed if needing to be left home alone. Otherwise she is a loving sweet companion who snores. She is on daily medication for hypothyroidism and allergies. When I adopted her she had hair loss and the growths on her paws were much much bigger. Her hair is all back and shiny. She is responding well to veterinary treatments. She is on hydrolized protein food from the vets office to balance her tummy.

Story
I adopted Roan a year ago and as a single person he was a phenomenal dog. He is now 1.5 years old, absolutely loves other dogs, is home and crate trained, is a great couch cuddler, knows many commands and is very food motivated therefore easy to train. He is incredibly loyal, rarely barks, and has the best calm demeanor. His favorite activities include sniffing all the things on a walk and hanging out in a window watching the world go by. Shortly after I adopted him, I met my partner, who has cats and a child. We recently moved in together and despite months of trying, this is no longer the best environment for Roan. I am looking to rehome Roan with someone who can give him the best environment to thrive in. He’d do great with other dogs in the house (does not resource guard, shares toys) but no children or cats please.

Story
I got my first dog Odin from my older sister, he was living with 3 other female dogs during his upbringing before I got him around 1. Odin is about 5 years old now and I’m looking for someone that will welcome him into your family and one of your own, he loves to have fun, loves kids, my only issue with him at all is jumping when he gets excited.

Story
Reggie is a short and stocky, six year old,  micro American Bully who wants to be your one and only carpet potato. He is not dog reactive but can be possessive food, toys and people so we recommend he be an only dog and given what we know of his history he deserves to have this be his time to be number one. Reggie originally lived outside so coming in to foster where he now lives inside with other dogs has sparked his anxiety as everything has been new to him. Since he’s come into foster he’s been potty trained, crate trained, knows basic commands such as sit, stay, leave it and walks well on a leash. He absolutely loves the outdoor sprinklers, water from the hose and sunbathing on the patio. It took him 6 months but once he figured out how to use the dog cots outside and conquered his fear of getting on and off on his own, you can usually find him on one catching some rays. We don’t believe Reggie experienced toys prior to coming to foster, but he sure has learned to appreciate them, it’s been fun watching him experience a lot of his “firsts”. He’s a great dog, both curious and loving who can take his time to learn to trust,  but with a little guidance, a lot of patience, and love he would be the best companion. In general he’s a very laid back dog who loves to lounge. He wouldn’t be a great hiking buddy due to he suffers some arthritis and can be a little unstable on his back feet but he’s content just being with his people. Reggie's adopters must be 100% committed to loving him for the rest of his years.   Reggie is neutered, vaccines updated and microchipped.    Reggie’s adoption fee of $250 helps with the medical needs of the rescue. If you live in the Phoenix metro area, and think Reggie could be the right fit for you, please complete an adoption   application   *. July 25, 2024, 6:32 pm

Story
"Introducing Nana! Nana is a four-year-old red American Stratfordshire Pitbull Terrier weighing 50 lbs., who is very affectionate and playful. She is initially shy with strangers but once she gets to know you she will adopt you with lots of kisses. She is gentle in nature and has been described as a beautiful soul! Nana enjoys the company of other dogs and would thrive in a home with another dog and fenced yard for play and exercise. Nana has never lived with children, although she has been exposed to children and loved them. Nana's current Caregivers took Nana in when Nana's owner became ill and could no longer care for Nana. While Nana has been adjusting to her recent life changes, she has exhibited insecurity when hearing new sounds or noises. If she hears something unknown she will retreat to retire inside to her safe space. Nana is currently in dog training and progressing very well with leash training to enable her to comfortably go on walks in noisy places without any issues. She responds well to positive praise and has learned a few commands. Nana's Trainer is offering one free training session for the new adopter to aid Nana in the transition to a new forever home. For additional training, check out United Animal Friends Dog Training Program. Each one hour class is only $10 and half of the proceeds are donated to United Animal Friends. Register at meetup.com/UnitedAnimalFriends. Our adoption fee helps cover expenses (vaccinations, microchips, spay/neuter, food, housing) for the homeless pets we rescue. UAF does not adopt or ship outside the state of Arizona. To ensure the best fit, UAF conducts a home visit to meet other pets and verify a safe, secure yard.
