I came to the shelter as a stray—again—but this time, my owner decided not to come back for me. That’s okay, though, because I know my perfect person is out there! I’m a happy, outgoing girl who loves people. Seriously, I’ve never met a stranger! I’m smart, eager to please, and always up for an adventure. When it comes to other dogs, I like to take my time getting to know them—good manners are important, after all! At 50 pounds, I’m the perfect size for cuddles, walks, and just about anything fun. Zeus is a 57-pound boy with a sweet smile and a distinctive “Harry Potter”–style scar on his forehead that gives him extra character. He was surrendered when his owners could no longer care for him, and he is adjusting to a new environment with patience and curiosity. Zeus is playful, independent, and very affectionate once he feels safe. He’s also great on a leash, knows how to sit, and has shown good behavior around other dogs. Loud noises and unfamiliar people can make him nervous, but he responds well to calm reassurance. Because he previously lived outdoors, Zeus will need help learning the basics of house training and adjusting to life inside a home. He’s a gentle, vocal dog who needs time to build trust, but once he does, his affectionate nature truly shines. Zeus is looking for a patient, understanding family who can help him grow in confidence and finally feel secure.

I’m fully potty-trained, crate-trained, and I sleep soundly through the night. Thunderstorms? Loud noises? No big deal. I’ve also learned my foster parent’s daily routines and am happy to chill out at home while you’re at work.
