Story
Name: Diesel Breed: American Stafforshire Terrier Age: Approx. 6 Years Sex: Male Weight: Approx. 65 lbs Good with Dogs: Yes, although no small dogs, Diesel prefers laidback females his size. Good with Cats: No Good with Kids: No Heartworm Status: Negative Diesel is a great boy that has had a hard past and has persevered through it all. Diesel originally came to us after our staff arrived for work one morning and found Diesel tied to our gate. Without a note, and no information on his past, all that we know about Diesel’s past is that he was absolutely heartbroken when he arrived, and missed his people very, very much. After undergoing heartworm treatment and having to learn how to handle being crated, Diesel has waited for his forever family and is ready to go home. Diesel walks great on a leash. He is very smart and likes to go shopping. He really loves sunbathing, and being outside. He has a thing for toys and likes to chase squeaky toys and tennis balls especially. He is housebroken and rides great in a car. Diesel is not a fan of small creatures likes cats or small animals and will give chase. Diesel prefers laidback, non-dominant females. While he isn’t really the kind of dog that would do well at a dog park, Diesel is the kind of boy that knows what it’s like to have people love him and just wants a chance to have a forever family that won’t abandon him for reasons he can’t understand. ---- Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $250-350+. All of our dogs are fully vetted: up-to-date on annual shots, spayed/neutered and microchipped with a lifetime registration. We look forward to hearing from you! If you would like to send in an application for this dog, please use the link below! https://peachcountyanimalrescueandrehabilitation.org/apply-now-2/

Story
Name: Fiji Breed: Boxer/Staffie Age: 2 Years as of Feb 2022 Sex: Female Weight: 40lbs Best as the only pet in the home. Good with children. Fiji is a beautiful girl that has had a traumatic past and while she has healed physically from what she went through, she would love to have a home to call her very own! Fiji was found as a stray with a large amount of rope, leads and collar physically locked onto her neck and embedded around her neck. We had to have this removed and once it was and had good groceries on board, Fiji this sweet girl came right to life! She is a survivor and warrior princess; that tail never stops spreading joy. Fiji loves life very much. She is a happy, active girl that would make an excellent adventure buddy. She’s loves to be with people and do ALL. THE. THINGS. Even the mundane to us is incredibly exciting to her now that she has a new lease on life. Because of the rough past she has, Fiji would do best in a home where she’s the center of her people’s attention without having to compete with other animals. This good girl is ready to give you ALL the kisses she has and then some! ---- Peach County Animal Rescue is a rescue located in Fort Valley, GA. Our adoption fees range from $250-350+. Although our rescue dogs share a common bond with one another, no rescue story is the same (even when similar). Vetting costs vary depending on their health conditions. Henry was hit by a car and had to undergo surgery on his leg/hip are which are now completely healed! He is VERY strong! His forever home would need to be with someone with experience with this breed and he would benefit from training to thrive. Henry is a very sweet boy and just wants to be loved. Henry would love to have a fenced in yard to run and play in and a soft couch to snuggle on. Henry has a lot of energy his needs to get out because he has been on limited activity. Henry would need a meet and greet with resident dogs and definitely no cats. Please apply at www.humanesocietyhoco.orgThank you for your interest in one of our doggies. Story
Kirby the lovebug is a super sweet boy. He is so soft and has gorgeous eyes. He's got a muscular physique and such a beautiful coloring that he's a head turner. We aren't quite sure why he hasn't found a new home. He has hit over 300 days with us now. Kirby would love a big yard and an active home (a tired dog is the best dog). He really enjoys riding in the car and is a fantastic back seat driver! Usually, he'll try to direct you to Dunkin or Starbucks for a pup cup so you may not want to rely on his directions. He's also never met a mud puddle he didn't like.  He loves his toys, particularly any type of ball. He's an excellent soccer player. And he can score goals better than Messi. He's gone hiking and was fabulous on the trail. Kirby went to the soccer field with some volunteers recently and had a blast racing up and down the field, scored a couple goals, and loved on his teammates. He also makes an excellent jogging partner.  He's outstanding on the leash (no pulling or darting around). During the summer, Kirby loves to play in the kiddie pool so its likely he would be a good swimmer if you took him to the lake or have a pool. So he is a very well rounded athlete. Kirby believes he is chihuahua size, so he's the proverbial "bull in china shop". We recommend a home without smaller pets or small children to keep everyone safe and happy. As with all dogs, he needs someone who will be committed to training him. This will make for a happier Kirby and family. He's currently working with a trainer once a week to help prepare him for his new home. If you have a big yard (with or without puddles) and/or an active lifestyle, a car with a nice back seat, or don't mind him riding shotgun, Kirby could be your best pal. Put in your applications today to come meet this big goofball! ##1605558##
