Story
Lucy came to us through unfortunate events. My dad got sick and there was no one to take care of her. We have 3 cats and 3 dogs of our own. She was the only dog for my dad and they had been each other's best friends for 7 years. She is used to being the only dog of the house. She is an amazingly sweet dog who loves to love and get love. She's playful and loves to run around in a large yard. She loves tennis balls and comfy beds. She is house trained, crate trained and does well on car rides. She is very good with people and has not had any issues with our cats. She has not been the best of friends with our dogs causing us to play musical dogs between her and ours with potty breaks and getting inside time with us. She has never been able to get along with our larger dogs. We can only have her loose with our smallest dog, Chewy, who is a pug. We have had her 6 months since Dad passed. We want her to have a home where she is the only dog and can get all the attention she craves.

Story
Hey, I'm Ginny, and if you're looking for a brindle beauty with a zest for life, you've found her! I'm a 2 and a half-year-old girl who's all about fun and games. Weighing in at a fit 55 pounds, I'm the perfect partner for all your adventures. I'm spayed, vaccinated, and as house-trained as they come. I've got a heart full of love, especially for my 7-year-old human sibling. Other dogs? I'm all wags and sniffs, ready to romp around and play. I haven’t met cats yet but I can be cat-tested if you’d like. When it's walk time, I can't hide my excitement – I might pull on the leash, but once I've get my rush out, I'm as calm as a summer breeze. I'm a fetch fanatic – tennis balls, basketballs, sticks, you name it, I'll chase it! I'm not one to guard my food or toys; I'd rather share the fun. But watch out – I might just race you to that stick and bump you in the process! I adore being the center of attention, so baby talk and bragging about me will make my tail wag non-stop. I'm a lap dog at heart, and there's nothing better than head and butt scratches. My play style is a bit rough and rowdy, but it's all in good fun. If you're looking for a conversation, I'm your girl. My "boowoo mama boo woo" bark is my way of saying, "Hey, let's cuddle!" I'm a sucker for anything fluffy – blankies, stuffed animals (though the toys don't last long), and I'm a connoisseur of sticks. Peanut butter shin bones? Beggin' strips? Milk bone biscuits? Yes, please! I'm clever as can be, and with a little training, I'll be your most well-mannered companion. I am also loving and will caress you with my paws to give you a hug. Currently, I'm in Burkesville, Kentucky, but for a family that's just right, I can be transported home. So, what do you say? Are you ready for a life filled with love, play, and a whole lot of Ginny charm? Let's find out!

Story
My name is Gage, and I'm a 3 1/2-year-old American Staffordshire Terrier mix with a handsome brown and white coat. I'm a sturdy fellow, weighing 53 pounds. I've been neutered and vaccinated. I'm house (potty), crate, and leash trained. I have a strong prey drive. If I spot a cat or a small animal, my instincts kick in. But don't worry, I respond well to corrections and am otherwise a perfect gentleman. I'm very smart and pick up new things quickly. I'll even bark to let you know when it's time for a bathroom break. I absolutely adore head and butt scratches, and I'm quite the love bug. I enjoy sitting in laps, getting petted, and just chilling on the couch with my humans. I have this adorable habit of scooting up against you for pets, and I'm known to lean in for some extra love. I know basic commands like sit and shake, and I'm always eager to learn more. I do have a habit of chewing, so I'd benefit from some additional training to refine my manners. I love treats, bones, peanut butter, rope toys, and anything that's hard, chewable, and safe for dogs. My past is a bit of a mystery; I was found as a stray and had a close call at Memphis Animal Services, but thankfully, For the Love of Woofers rescued me before I was euthanized. You might notice some scars on me, and one of my ears looks like it's been through a lot. We don’t know if I may have been used as a bait dog or what I have been through as a stray surviving on the streets. I do have some behaviors that may be a result of my unknown past. I do guard my food, toys, and bones, so I'd fit best in a home with older children who understand the importance of giving me space during meals and playtime. I tend to eat quickly, so a slow feeder would be a great idea for me. I thrive as the only pet or with dogs who are more on the submissive side and won't challenge me. My past may not have been kind, but I'm looking forward to a brighter future with a family who can be patient with me and show me love. Currently, I'm in Burkesville, Kentucky, but for the right home, I can be transported to nearby states. If you're looking for a smart, loving companion who's eager to start a new chapter, I'm your boy. Fill out an application today!

Story
Attention all families seeking THE PERFECT FAMILY PET!! Cleveland is simply amazing. I know a lot of rescues say their pets are amazing . But he truly is and it's the simplest way to describe him. He's playful, would love to have a canine buddy or a human sibling to pair up with. He's confident but not alpha in any way. He plays with puppies that are a fraction of his size. He's kennel trained. House trained . Rarely ever barks. And let's talk about walking on a leash😳just watch his video. He eats his breakfast and his dinner with another male buddy about his size and both of them share so nicely. He takes treats with the gentlest of nature . Cleveland is in a foster home in Memphis, Tn with a 3,7 and 11 year old human friends , 3 male dogs and 1 female and he is simply perfect ! Once an application has been submitted and approved I will gladly discuss, facetime, send photos and videos , etc of Cleveland and answer any and all questions about him. We use a transport company called rescue vet transport to get our pets from Memphis, Tennessee to the north east. They travel each weekend, leaving Memphis Friday morning around 6 AM and making stops along the route all the way as far north as West Greenwich Rhode Island. Once they leave Memphis they start a group chat with all adopters and the two drivers. Transport is an additional $185. If you would like to make Cleveland a part of your family, please follow the link below to our adoption application. https://forms.gle/APKvbgFJcaRvgKgk9
