FINN is one of the calmest, kindest souls we have met. He is a loving boy who wants nothing more than to please his humans. He is always happy to see everyone and considers himself a world class snuggler. He soaks up affection like a sponge and has an endless supply of adoration to give in return. FINN is just as kind with dogs as he is with people. He absolutely adores them and is the kind of dog who can fit into any pack. FINN’s amazing disposition and confident nature make it easy to take him to all sorts of places. Plus, he loves adventure and is always up for some fun. He rides well in the car and minds his manners when in public. He is truly an all around wonderful dog. FINN knows to only chew on his things, has never pottied in the house and is well behaved in his crate when his foster mom isn’t home. He is an affectionate, well mannered, loyal dog who will be a great addition to any household. FINN’s furever family is going to be tremendously lucky to call this incredible boy their own! All of our dogs start their journey in Memphis, Tennessee where they remain in loving foster families until they are adopted. Once adopted, some pups stay local in Memphis. Many others travel via one of our transport partners to their new forever homes. We use Pet Express Transport (https://petexpresstupelo.wordpress.com) for our Nashville, Knoxville and New England adoptions. For our Midwest adopters, we have our own private transport. Breed selection is done in conjunction with two local vets and is not to be considered a guarantee but rather a well-educated decision from well qualified staff. Due to the extremely high volume of inquiries we receive, we ask that you request, complete, and submit an application before asking additional questions. We try very hard to include all pertinent information in our bios. We are excited to help you find your new family member. However, Woof River is 100% volunteer operated. If you are interested in HOOCH or in adopting a pup in general, the first step is an adoption application. Download an adoption application here Please email the completed application to adoptionteam4.woofriver@gmail.com Please submit an application rather than an inquiry with no application attached. TURNER and HOOCH were born approximately January 1, 2024. Luckily these little nuggets were able to stay with their mom and siblings until they were 7 weeks old. This is an amazing gift for puppies in rescue. Being with their mom during this important developmental time is priceless. At 7 weeks old they went into their very own foster home together in order to get more individual attention and ensure they become happy and well-adjusted pooches. These gorgeous boys are just bursting with puppy love, puppy kisses, puppy snuggles, and puppy playfulness. They adore people, other dogs, and kids. They have been socialized a ton! TURNER and HOOCH soak up all the cuddles and affection they can get. They excelled at crate training and are mastering their potty training. They have an inquisitive nature about them and love exploring the world around them. With one of these kids, every day’s a great day! Their forever families will be hitting the puppy jackpot! Story
Meet Mako! This short stack is so sweet, squishy, snuggly, and smart! He is a low-key, medium energy, go with the flow kind of guy who just wants to love and be loved. He is potty and crate trained, easy on the leash after some initial excitement, knows "sit, and is food motivated. He is good with other dogs and kids although he has not met any tiny hoomans yet. Mako's foster heroes are only temporary! They opened their home to save his life from overcrowding, but he could use a long term FOSTER or ADOPTER to snuggle up with.

Jack is my name and fun is my game. I will dearly love my people and protect them from Amazon delivery people. I love car rides and will protect you at stoplights if someone is rude to you.I know sit, down, paw, leave it, and ZoomZoom with gusto. It would be best if I am only dog and no pesky cats to tease me. I am house and crate trained. I promise to be an amazing staffie that has swagger. I am not perfect but I will love you with all my heart.

Story
Meet Libby! She has been at PAC since 4/14/23. She was found on an exit ramp, it was evident she was no longer needed to produce puppies. After arriving to the shelter, the staff learned Libby was very unsocialized around humans and being indoors.Libby was shy but she would let you pet her after she gets more comfortable. She would take a treat and takes it very gently. Libby is nervous around fast movements but she does well with calm children. She waited 92 days to find her amazing foster. Her foster mom thinks she is about 7 years old.Her foster mom found out that Libby:She loves belly rubsShe walks well on a leash She likes for you to keep her company when she eats and pottiesShe minds wellShe is medium energy. She would do best with smaller dogs. She does well with cats. When she gets to be too much for them. She listens to `No` very well.200+ days later Libby is still available for adoption. So PAC Staff decided it was best for Libby to be seen at the shelter. No one asked about Libby while she was in foster :(.. All she is looking for is a loving, patient home who would take leisurely walks for fun! Come see Libby, she has been waiting a while for you to find her! :)
