Story
You may recognize this handsome fellow from when he went viral last week! 😱 Clause was found as a stray and was being cared for by a local shelter. This boy does best in a home without other animals, and as a result was struggling to find a foster or adopter. He was running out of time. 😞 For days we (and many other organizations) shared his handsome face, pleading for someone to foster him. Time kept ticking, and we only had hours. 😰 Thanks to our amazing community, Clause got hundreds of shares across Facebook. Additionally, we were lucky enough to connect with Sweet Buffalo which allowed thousands more local animals lovers to see our cry for help. 🙏 With less than an hour to spare we finally found a family willing to foster our boy. They were willing to drive all the way from Buffalo to save our sweet Clause! It was our very own holiday miracle! 🎄♥️ Now, our boy is finally enjoying the life he has always deserved. After a little more pampering, and an appointment with our vet, Clause will be on the hunt for his forever home!

Story
*EXPERIENCED ADOPTERS* Meet Biggie! Biggie is a very special boy who has had a rough past and is looking for an extra special person to enter his life. ***Warning: Biggie’s story does include heartbreaking and graphic descriptions. In December of 2022 someone called to report a large stray dog. Due to the size of the pup, the organization who received the call sent not one, but two, men to "rescue" him. Both men used large catch poles to simultaneously choke and drag the pup into their transport vehicle. The restraints were so tightly wrapped around his neck that his eyes became bloodshot. Once inside the vehicle, he was brought to a veterinary facility for holding. While you'd think that's where the horrors ended, it was only the beginning. The room where he was placed after being brought in from the streets is where he sat, isolated and terrified, for over 30 days. A majority of Staff were afraid to handle him due to his size, instead they herded him around with a large bed. Unfortunately, this only scared him more. The only happiness this poor guy had was the occasional "Biggie Bag" from Wendy's that was snuck to him. This lifestyle wasn't sustainable, and that was apparent. In January of this year, staff reached out to us for help. After hearing this guy's story we couldn't say no. He came to our facility and after feasting on hamburgers and french fries for the past month, the only name that seemed fitting for our man was "Biggie". Our poor guy had a really rough start. After experiencing so much trauma, Biggie was a very terrified dog. Things such as sudden movements and loud noises really scared him. Slowly, Biggie began trusting a few members of our team. It started with feeding him cheese whiz and treats through a gate and gradually grew to taking him on walks and field trips. We learned Biggie loved ponds and running water. For the first time, we got to see him relax and truly enjoy being a dog. Over the past month, the progress we have seen is nothing short of remarkable. Biggie is comfortable with the majority of our team and even a few volunteers. He is playing with stuffies, rolling over for belly rubs, and even giving kisses! He really is our miracle boy. Now, almost 9 months after he was found alone and abandoned, we are proud to announce Biggie is available for adoption. Due to his size and background, he will need an experienced adopter without young children. Biggie has done well with other dogs, although they would need to be introduced during this process. We know this sounds intimidating, but after months with Biggie Boy, we think he is going to make an amazing dog. He just needs to find his place. If you would like to have a meet with our special boy, please contact us.

Story
This is Waffles!  Waffles was found by a good samaritan who wasn't able to find her a home. Waffles was kept safe in boarding all summer but it wasn't the right environment for her. An employee took her home and immediately noticed the positive difference in Waffle. She is a very smart, loving young dog, about a year old. She is very athletic, has a lean muscular body and the softest fur. She loves people and dogs. She is prospering in her foster home where she has dogs to match her energy and a foster family that are teaching her how to be part of a family. She isn't super kean on her kennel but is learning that it is a safe place to hang out. She likes chewing on bones and playing with toys. She has been nicknamed "Door stop" because she is always beside you when you leave a room (a behavior that she is working on). She loves to hold down the couch and if given the opportunity will gladly keep you company in bed. She redirects easily and wants to be a good girl. She is not food or toy aggressive. She has the makings to be a great family dog or outdoor partner for an active person. She just needs the right person to continue her training and development. Waffles has been spayed, is current on her vaccinations and microchipped.  Her adoption fee is $550    and includes her transportation to her new home in CT.  SHE IS IN A LOVING FOSTER HOME IN MEMPHIS, TN AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED TO HER NEW HOME ONCE ADOPTED!  New Beginnings Animal Rescue uses  a licensed and registered USDA transport company.      If you would like to apply to adopt Waffles, please fill out our online application here:  http://www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net.  Any questions, please email us at:  newbeginnigs_animalrescue@yahoo.com.   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hi to Charlie! He was found locally as a stray and not claimed by owners.    Charlie is food motivated and loves all people.  Charlie met an eight year old girl and was very appropriate - takes treats so gently! He's gentle and mellow. Charlie loves to run around outside, play with toys, and roll in the grass. Charlie also loves to give high fives! Charlie is not crate trained, but he does not need to be. He will sleep, relax, or play with his toys while you’re away. He prefers to be with his humans while they’re home. He loves to sleep on the couch or lay in the sun. Charlie is house broken and will go to the door and bark when he needs to go out.  Charlie currently would do best as the only pet in the home.  He is searching for a foster home, or better yet, his furever! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Say Hello to Tiny!  Don’t let his name fool you. He is not ”Tiny” in size nor personality! This sweet boy is looking for a foster, or better yet, his furever home. Tiny LOVES people! He enjoys walks, playtime, snuggles & toys; he's kinda famous for emptying the toy box at boarding, lol. He's well behaved on car rides & is always up for an outing for a pupcup or a nature hike. He is very treat motivated, so working with him on basic training has been a breeze for our volunteers. He's still working on mastering his lessons on manners & would benefit from conitnued training in a home setting. He’s a big guy and does jump when excited so no kids under 8 for him as he could definitely knock a small human over without meaning to.  We have not been able to socialize him with other dogs quite yet but he has been non reactive on leash. And even though we have not cat tested him, his energy would likely be too much for a kitty.  This super sweet boy loves belly rubs and attention and is so darn sweet! He’d make a great addition to any family!   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment. Story
Please say hello to our dear, sweet, senior Sam. Sam is about 10 years young and was a stray who was never claimed. He is looking for a nice retirement home and at this point, he has put on some needed weight as he loves canned food and is doing well with it. We believe, due to his present status, canned food would be best for him and we will give an adopter some wet food to get you started. He has been fully vetted including a neuter, and had a complete blood panel done and all of his lab work was basically normal. If you can provide Sam a nice retirement home, here is a link to our application that you can print out, complete and email (ocadoptions@aol.com) or text (585-752-2588) back to us as a jpg. http://www.friendsoftheocas.org/uploads/3/4/7/0/34700641/interest_application.pdf Give us a call or send us a text if you have any questions.
