Story
Meet Star! Star is a sweet girl that was surrendered to us by a family that found her on the streets. We think Star was abused at some point, as she is afraid of males, but we are working on showing her that not all men are bad. She is in a home with a foster mom and dad, and foster brother and sisters. She still barks at dad as this is all new to her, but is super loving with mom and the kids. We are hoping she slowly becomes more comfortable around men and that we find a forever home that is willing to be patient and show her all the love and patience that she needs. Star is very affectionate and loves to be cuddling or sitting next to you. She loves to play with her toys and chewing on her bone and she can do that calmly in her crate or right next to you. She is such a sweet soul who just wants to be loved and snuggled. Star learns easily and is eager for her owners to show her what to do. She loves going on walks and being outside playing. She is young so she needs plenty of exercise to ensure that she doesn't get bored and can be her best! Star sleeps very well in her crate. She is in a foster home where there is routine and structure, and this has been very good for her. She loves knowing when she will eat, sleep and play outside! This sweet girl would do best in a home with children or another dog . She loves the interaction and lights up when the kids come home from school! If you think Star would be a perfect fit for your family, fill out our adoption application here. There is a $25.00 application fee. https://www.coopersafeplace.org/application-page Star's adoption fee is $350 and due on the day of adoption.

Story
Hi, my name is Natasha, and was found by a Good Samaritan who quickly realized I was pregnant. Luckily, MVPC was able to squeeze me in and I raised seven healthy puppies. Because I, along with my puppies, are unusual looking, MVPC had one DNA tested. The test also gives breeds of each parent, and I have mainly Staffie and American Eskimo! However, realize there are several breeds in there, including Golden Retriever! All of my kids are taller than me now, so if you are looking for a shorter version, I am it. I am a happy, fun girl who loves everyone I meet. I am learning how to play with other dogs, and while I love them, they don’t always love my play, so a tolerant, playful male dog is best! I know all of my commands, but can be subborn! I am scared of thunderstorms, but my foster family is working hard on helping me feel safer and calm during storms. Overall, I am a happy, sweet gal and am going to make an amazing companion! I promise to absolutely keep you laughing all day long. I am so much fun! ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 11/22/2020 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes! DOGS IN HOME: Yes, solo or playful male CATS: Yes CHILDREN: Yes, 8 and over I AM READY TO GO HOME!! If you are approved to be my new family, a hold fee of $100 is required and will be applied to the full adoption fee of $175 when MVPC comes to visit your house with me! INQUIRIES: ALL inquiries begin with a submitted adoption application, which is found on our website, www.miamivalleypitcrew.com. We do not adopt to individuals under the age of 25. DO NOT: USE THE PETFINDER CONTACT/ADOPT BUTTONS--we are unable to monitor those and you will not receive a response. PLEASE NOTE: We are volunteer based and a home visit is required; we have a two-hour adoption radius from Kettering, OH for our adult dogs and 75 miles for our puppies. Exceptions for our ADULT dogs only, though rare, may be made on a case-by-case basis but we must be able to do a home visit. Thank you for your understanding! Story
The many faces of Dolly. Happy, pitiful, playful, and over shenanigans. I am a 70lb package of personality. I came to MVPC VERY pregnant and raised some beautiful puppies. I am still working on regaining my girlish figure but will probably always have a bit of a saggy belly because I was obviously bred a lot. I am TOTALLY about my peoples and want to be with (preferably on) you as much as possible! I am fine with other dogs, and even cats! I certainly love my chew toys. They do need to be sturdy and balls of any size are absolutely the bees knees! I want a few minutes, and a couple cookies before you are approved to be my newest BFF, but I have excellent manners and once we are friends, we are FRIENDS. I am active, snuggly, sweet and fun and ready to be a member of an awesome family…rather than constantly raising one. Story
Hi, my name is Victoria and I am so glad to be done having puppies. This final round was no fun...there were 11. I'm done. I was also heartworm positive, so even after my puppies went to their foster homes, I still had 30 more days of treatment (meaning quiet time to heal-also no fun). I am ready to go. As in go home, go play, go run, go explore....just go. I want my svelt figure back! I am a very sweet girl and am learning how awesome it is to just be a dog. I am learning all the things...commands, leash walking...and am doing GREAT!! Naturally, I get pretty darn excited to come out of my crate, but once I get the zoomies out, I love to snuggle. The other dogs in the house are fun too and I am learning to play appropriately. Cats are really fun to chase and I get pretty excited when I see one, so any cats in the home need to be dog savvy. I've been smacked by one, but it didn't deter me much. I make myself look and sound even more adorable by "woo wooing" at you when I want your attention. So far, it has a 100% return rate of treats and affection and I am more than ready to conduct this research on my forever family. ADOPTION FEE: $175 (All MVPC dogs are heartworm-tested and on prevention, completely vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, crate-trained and house-trained) ADOPTER: Dog experience BIRTHDAY: 1/11/21 FENCE: Required (an electric fence is not an acceptable form of containment) DOG FRIENDLY: Yes!
