Misty is a gorgeous young tabby kitten with wide, wondering eyes and a heart brimming with untapped potential. With her soft stripes and delicate features, she looks like she stepped right out of a storybook—and her growing personality is just as enchanting. Misty is naturally curious, always eager to see what’s around the next corner, and absolutely loves playing and wrestling with her sister, Mystic. Together, they’re a dynamic duo of kitten energy, imagination, and mischief.
Born to a local stray mom and brought into Anderson Humane with her siblings, Misty didn’t have much early socialization with humans, which means she’s still learning what people are all about. In her foster home, she took her time observing the world from a safe distance—watching humans move, listening to their voices, and slowly piecing together the idea that people can be gentle, predictable, and kind. She’s not quite ready for physical contact yet, but she’s showing steady progress, offering tiny glimpses of trust as she learns at her own thoughtful pace.
What truly brings Misty out of her shell is the company of other cats. She adores being around feline friends, finding comfort and confidence in their presence. Whether she’s following another cat from room to room, learning how to “cat” from their example, or curling up near them for a nap, Misty thrives when she has a buddy to lean on. She’s adventurous in her own quiet way—brave enough to explore new rooms, climb fresh perches, and investigate unfamiliar corners when she feels safe. And give her a new treat to sample? Misty is an All-Star cat! My adoption comes with some extra benefits at time of adoption! His adoption appointment includes a discussion with our Training Team, and he will go home with a few enrichment goodies to help get him off to a good start! Our cats and kittens go home spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on core vaccines, flea, and tick preventatives. Their adoption also includes a free-vet exam at one of our participating veterinarians.
