Story
Fred is a middle-aged bachelor. He gets along fine with most other cats given a little time. He likes lap-cuddles, when he drools with pleasure. He is odd in expressing himself; he does purr, but may also growl or hiss -- not particularly in displeasure, but as if he learned a foreign cat language in kitten-hood. He is a bit shy, not aggressive. He has been used to going outside, which happens to be safe where we live now, but when he has had to be an indoor cat he seems to adapt easily enough. I hate to give him up, but I have no choice.

Story
Fred is a middle-aged bachelor, a good house pet. He has always gotten along well with the other three cats (2 female, one male), though he did show some intolerance for a visiting male cat. He likes lap cuddles, with purrs and drooling; he is unusual only in that he often vocalizes by growling even though he is not aggressive; in fact he's rather shy with strangers and usually vanishes if there's unfamiliar company. He has been able to be in-and out, but only because where I live it's quite safe to allow that; on the other hand, when he has had to become an inside cat for extended periods,he has adapted easily. When out, he has shown himself to be an effective mouser. I adopted him as a kitten, being charmed by his big foofy tail; he is now big and handsome. He is an amusing and un-troublesome cat with a good digestion. I hate to give him up, but an impending move across country makes it necessary.
