Story

We rescued Dane as a stray when he was around 5 years old. Over the past 5 years, he has grown to love couch potato life. He is a senior dog who is a gentle giant. He is house trained and accustomed to being indoors like he's part of the family. He's so good with other animals that our cat almost have birth on him. He doesn't eat shoes or tear up furniture, but if you drop food on the floor he will run like you've never seen a fat dog run to eat what you've dropped. He is great on a leash and loves kids. It breaks my heart to have to rehome him. Our landlord has implemented new rules forcing me into this decision. He doesn't bark much, so when he does it can be a bit loud and startling, but it's usually for a good reason (like a break-in at 2am). No real health conserns other than itchy skin in the summer that clears up with Oatmeal shampoo.

You must submit an application to start the process to meet or adopt a dog from this rescue. Meet Boggle. He's 4 lbs of straight love and sweetness. This boy is a Velcro pup and loves to be with his people. When the poop hits the fan he wants to be comforted by his favorite human. This pup loves to play but definitely doesn't want to stray far from his people. He's being fostered with other dogs and cats and is doing amazingly well with potty training! Our adoption fee is $300.00 for this pet. This generally includes age appropriate vaccines, spay/neuter, a wellness exam, dewormer, fecal, hw and flea preventative that is given while in our care, microchip and sometimes registration depending on the company, as well as any other medications or procedures needed while in our care. Duke is a tan male Anatolian/Labrador retriever mix. He was born in November 2015 and is up to date on his vaccines. Duke has been neutered. He is heart worm positive but don’t let that deter you because staying on prevention will cause the heart worms to die off naturally. Duke is good with other dogs.
