Story
This handsome 4 month old Shepherd/Lab mix puppy is in a league all on his own.  Brother Biscuit has been through a lot in a few months of life and what he has shown us of his character and temperament has blown us away.  First he was found with his sister living as a stray and needing a foster to raise them up to be healthy, mannerly and confident.  Brother Biscuit has achieved all of that.  At just 20 pounds, he has become a very sensitive pup that is wise and mature beyond his 4 months of life.   This handsome pup recently went through a tragic time with a new dog in the foster home that apparently was prone to seizures and no one knew it was coming.  This puppy laid by the older dog as he become more sedate and less interested in life.  Brother Biscuit did not leave his side and he alerted us to the fact that Big Joe was not doing well.  Brother Biscuit was there for this other dog with a heart to try and heal him or at least comfort him.  We were blown away.  This sweet boy is grand with dogs of all ages and sizes and even the cats (5) in the foster home.  He has the most emotional face and beautiful eyeliner eyes and markings.  If you met him in person you would want to stoop down and scoop  him up in your arms and tell him that a family will soon be coming for him.  His fur is soft and a golden color and he will be a 50+ pound boy when fully grown.  He is so much fun and has been with young children and has experienced his own personal unknown illness recently that he rose above and is fine and then he helped Big Joe when he was struggling.  Brother Biscuit has a God given reason to be here in the world with a sensitive spirit to help others.  Do you need a pup that has a desire to know when you are in distress?  Brother Biscuit is the dog for you!  Please email us if you are interested to ccrtennessee@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 9, 2023, 11:06 am

Story
My name is Tristen and I am a very healthy and fun 17 pound Anatolian mix puppy that was born around the first of February.  I'm the smallest of 2 other siblings but yet I am still going to be a 65+ pound beautiful girl when I am fully grown.  I came to be with Critter Cavalry Rescue when I was about 10 weeks old and my mom found me on the side of the road with my brother and sister about to be run over on a very busy highway. So she took us home to our great surprise and delight, and she has been our ANGEL MOMMA.  Since our foster mom lives on a small farm with lots of animals, we have learned how to be nice to everyone and to love and embrace even the chickens.  If you have chickens then we are YOUR REAL DEAL.  My foster mom loves to take us on evening walks around the property and we love it!   We are learning harness time and I especially love going for walks on my harness and chasing tennis balls. I'm extremely friendly and loving and I will make a wonderful companion. I can't wait to have a forever home to share all my kisses and snuggles.  If you are open to considering this adorable BIG GIRL… please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 9, 2023, 11:06 am

Story
Hello Dog Lovers!  My name is Travis and I would like to introduce myself to you as a candidate for adoption if you are looking for a handsome big dog puppy!  I was born probably about the first of February and at 12 week old, I weigh a whopping 21 pounds.  My puppy experts think I am an Anatolian mix and I seem to be destined to be a BIG BOY when I grow up…. Probably 80+ pounds.  I am an energetic and very playful puppy that is going to need a fenced yard and some time spent polishing me with training.  You know that all puppies need guidance and training to become the best they can become.  My foster mom was my Angel the day she saw me on a busy roadway in rural Tennessee. I was scooped up with my two sisters and brought to her farm where I have gotten to know all her chickens, horses, cats and her two dogs. I just want to play with everyone and I especially love to chase  tennis balls. I'm learning to walk on a leash/in a harness when she goes walking on her property to make sure everything and all her animals are alright. That has really been so much fun. I'm looking forward to finding my forever home soon with someone who appreciates BIG DOGS like I am going to be.  I promise to love, honor and make you happy every day…and will always snuggle anytime you want. Please email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrnewengland@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting me.           PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 9, 2023, 11:06 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. LADY  was transferred to GaDaH from a high kill shelter in Texas on 22nd April 2023. We take a lot of pictures and videos and don't always have the time to post them on the dogs individual webpage and adoption site, so we ask that you go to the rescue  YouTube channel  and  photo albums on our Facebook page  to see a LOT of pictures and videos.      LADY is spayed, rabies, core vaccines, heartworm/tick tested negative. She is on monthly prevention, microchipped, has an estimated date of birth of  6 April 2021 and at the  time of transport weighed 55 pounds. We have no way of knowing what the actual breed is, so it is up to people to look at the pictures and video's to make up their own mind. LADY is available for adoption from Give a Dog a Home Rescue in Sebec, Maine for an adoption fee of $550.       This adoption fee covers the cost of running a brick and mortar rescue as well as any transport, veterinary, food,   treats, toys costs and the many expenses that rescues endure to keep the pets in their care safe, and happy.     Be sure to read all the information and if interested, go to the rescue website to submit an adoption application. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 The rescue buys food in bulk, by the truck load and there are a variety of brands and flavors. None of the food given is less than a 4* food rating. There have not been issues with eating any of the varying foods. It is important that you do your research on the ingredients and speak to your vet or a nutritionist on grain vs grain free! &#226&#128&#139You MUST understand that dogs need time to decompress and adapt to their new environment and home. It is a HUGE transition they make from the kill shelter, being vetted, on transport for 3 days and arriving in Maine where the temperature and such is very different to what they have only known. In rescue there is what is known as the "3 Point Rule" Days 1-3 your dog is stressed, anxious, confused as to where they are now. Weeks 1-3 your dog is adjusting, settling in, learning things. At the 3-month point, your dog understands they are home, and have built up a trusting relationship where they feel loved and secure. If you feel that you have the heart and home to give this precious soul a wonderful life, please go to our website, under the ADOPTION INFO tab, complete, then submit the APPLICATION. Our process takes around 1-2 days, and ensuring your references are aware that we will be calling, could speed up the process. Once you have been approved, we discuss any questions in regards to the dog you are wanting to adopt, then we can schedule your appointment to come to the rescue in Sebec, Maine for meet/greet/adopt Please do NOT submit an application if you are not looking to take home a new best friend within the next few weeks. https://www.giveadogahome-rescue.org/forms/form?formid=5838 ALL Dogs are LOCATED AT THE RESCUE IN SEBEC, MAINE. We post in various states along the east coast and Canada where we have had lots of successful adoptions to enable more exposure for these beautiful saved souls. Families will need to be prepared to travel to the rescue to meet and take home their new best friend. Sebec is located just outside the towns of Dover-Foxcroft and Milo (approx. 8 miles) and approx. 45 miles from Bangor. There are also lots of hotels, motels, pet friendly accommodations and wonderful camp-sites for the more adventurous families and what a great way to get to know your new best friend.
