Story
🐾 Meet Sybil! 🐾 Sybil is a sweet and gentle 7-month-old Anatolian Shepherd mix, currently tipping the scales at just 9 kilograms. Although she's petite now, she's expected to reach a maximum weight of around 20 kilograms as she grows. Sybil's early experiences have left her feeling a bit uncertain about the great outdoors, as she has spent much of her time at a clinic in Turkey. However, with patient guidance and positive reinforcement, we believe she will blossom into a confident explorer! This lovely girl is eager to find a forever home with adopters who understand her timid nature and are committed to helping her build confidence through gentle socialization. Despite her initial shyness, Sybil has shown a remarkable affinity for humans and is quick to shower her affection on anyone who offers her kindness. Not only is Sybil a friend to humans, but she also gets along famously with cats and other dogs, making her a delightful addition to any pet-loving household. If you're ready to open your heart and home to a precious pup who is waiting to bloom into her full potential, Sybil could be the perfect match for you. Sybil can fly to Toronto or Vancouver when she finds her forever home! If you are interested in adopting her please apply; https://www.cheers2paws.org/dog-adoption-form

Story
Buster is a big goof ball. He literally will bury his head in your lap when you go to pet him. He is a gentle giant that just wants someone to cuddle up next to, whether it's a beloved human (probably female) or dog sibling (probably female). Haha he is a bit of a ladies' man but definitely can become close to a man too, it just might take a bit of schmoozing! Buster is in heaven in his suburban foster home, where he spends dreamy days frolicking in his big back yard with his dog foster-sister (SNOW! ), keeping a sharp eye out the window (SQUIRRELS! ) or stretched out on the couch for a snooze (he used to live chained to a dog house...imagine how a soft cushion feels for him now!). Leashes used to be his krypton it's, but he's been having many positive experiences and has improved beyond measure. Instead of having a meltdown when he sees a leash, he now gets excited for walks, hardly pulls anymore and even keeps his composure around big scary trucks. Being half Great Pyrenees, Buster is protective of his home, and is very alert when someone new is on the premises. Hi nice to meet you Ajax here let me tell you just a little about me and I was told honesty is the best policy for me to find my human Soulmate! I will need a strong, confident handler that is willing to show me leadership and consistency , I'm a very sweet boy if your willing to give me the time I will need to adapt to my new home and surroundings. I love to go swimming (It's one of my favorite things) hiking or just being the Andy Griffith dog lounging on the front porch catching some rays!!!. My good friends Stephanie and Elizabeth love taking me out on adventures and tell me what a good boy I am (shhh I love those girls) but it took awhile to trust them but man I'm glad I did !! I'm told I'm a little difficult sometimes and that's why my friends are making sure I find the exact home that will let me shine. I may not be perfect but with the right person I know I will be amazing. So that's all I'm going to say about me I will let my other friends fill you in on the rest; all my friends at NDR just want to see me shine in my new beginning!! I hope to meet you soon and lets let life adventures begin!!!

Story
Mel is currently being fostered in TEXAS. Mel, the Belgian Malinois mix. Mel is apx 6- 8 months old and 35 pounds, but still a tad on the thin side, we are fattening her up. Mel will be a big gal, probably weighing 65-70 plus pounds. Her legs are huge. Mel is smart, quirky, sometimes a fraidy cat which is funny because she is so big, but you still have to remember just because she is a giant, she is still just a baby. Mel is working on her leash manners, potty manners and every other manners. She spent two months in the city shelter alone in a 4x4 cell full of pee and poop. As you can imagine this dog breed does not do well with that setting. Being in a shelter forced to sleep, urinate and eat in the same space for months as a baby really set her behind a bit. She needs some work, patience and devotion. Mel is a FAST learner though. In less than two weeks she learned not to jump, she takes treats very nicely. We are still working on sit as she sits and then slides down to a lay belly roll 😂. She is submissive to other dogs and people and never ever aggressive. Mel does not have a mean bone in her body. That being said, make sure that you research this dog breed thoroughly before committing to taking her into your home for the rest of your life as she will get very attached to you and your family and will probably be very protective of you. She is eager to learn, to please her people, to love, to play and as she gains trust and confidence, I have no doubt you are going to have one spectacular dog on your hands that you can not imagine life without. We have had her with big dogs, small dogs, old dogs, cats, puppies and kids and she is amazing with them all. Give Mel a chance! You won’t regret it. Approved adopters please send your hold requests to the email you were given. To get approved please visit our website www.texaschihuahuarescuecanada.org to fill in an application to adopt.
