Huck is a fully vetted Anatolian Shepherd/Catahoula Leopard Dog mix, about 9 years old, weighing 86 lbs. Huck has the sweetest face and a heart just as big as his body. He LOVES playing ball — though returning it is optional in his mind. He prefers a system where everyone gets their steps in, so yes… you’re going to work for it. He also loves jumping up for hugs and going on long sniff-filled walks, taking in all the important neighborhood gossip. He is completely house trained, incredibly loyal, and very protective of the people he loves. Huck would make an amazing family dog (good with adults, kids and dogs. No cats please) and is the kind of guy who will happily alert you when someone comes up the driveway — free security system included. If you’re looking for a big-hearted, big-bodied, endlessly lovable companion — Huck is ready to finally go home. He deserves a couch, a yard, and a family who sees how special he is.

Shep showed up as a stray to my house about 5 years ago. Unsure of his age. I would guess 6-8 years old. He is a super good boy. He is happy and will bark exuberantly when he is excited. House broken, will occasionally get in trash can if something yummy is in the top of it. Gets along with all my dogs, except my intact male bull dog who growls at him. Shep has nipped him before when pushed too far. I think mostly happens if a female dog in the house comes in heat. He lives to go for walks. Going through a divorce so need to rehome him, due to I have two elderly dogs and apartments don't usually allow more than 2 dogs.
