Story
“Now, now, do you see our tree? Everything that made that giant tree is already contained inside this tiny, little seed. All it needs is some time, a little bit of sunshine, and rain, and voila! You might not feel like you can do much now, but that’s just because, well, you’re not a tree yet. You just have to give yourself some time.” – A Bug’s Life Atta and Dot may have once been small seeds… but they’re already sprouting new beginnings! These fluffy pups are royal sisters that were initially rescued by a group in Luling, Texas. At just over ten weeks, they are already pushing 20 pounds, leading us to believe that they are Anatolian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mixes. This means they could spread their branches to a size of 80 pounds or more! Atta and Dot are true to their presumed breeds–gentle, lowkey, and affectionate. While they can be sassy with each other at times (a true sister relationship), they mostly love goofing around; splashing around in their water bowls before crashing out for naps in the most hilarious poses. Since their ancestors were historically bred as livestock protectors, these two are natural watchdogs who will view their home, family, and other furry siblings as their flock. Despite their massive size, they are notoriously patient with children and can make very “lowkey” pets. Atta and Dot might appreciate daily walks in the cooler temperatures, but they will make calm housemates who will enjoy a placid and predictable routine. Additionally, their long, dense coats will make them attractive companions and elite cuddle bugs, though it’s important to note they will require occasional brushing to prevent matting/shedding. These girls are ready to transform into the queens of your household! So, are you ready to take on the perfect heir… or two? Apply to meet Atta and Dot today.

Story
Meet Koda – A Gentle Giant with a Playful Side Koda is a handsome 2.5-year-old Anatolian Shepherd mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he is the perfect combination of calm companion and playful best friend. With his gentle nature and easygoing personality, Koda brings a peaceful presence wherever he goes. One of Koda’s favorite activities is spending time with his people. He loves to snuggle, relax nearby, and simply be part of the family. He is fully potty trained, settles nicely into home life, and has wonderful house manners. Koda also walks beautifully on a leash, naturally matching your pace and making daily walks enjoyable and stress-free. While Koda enjoys quiet time, he also has a fun-loving side. He absolutely loves to play and would be thrilled to have another friendly dog in the home to wrestle, romp, and share adventures with. He gets along well with other dogs and enjoys having a canine companion to help bring out his playful spirit. Koda has also lived successfully with cats and has even been caught playing with their toys, proving just how easygoing and adaptable he can be. He does experience some carsickness on longer trips, but this is easily managed with Dramamine when needed. Because of his gentle and sensitive nature, Koda would thrive in a calm home without small children, where he can enjoy a predictable routine and plenty of companionship. As an Anatolian mix, Koda can be protective of his home and may resource guard his space with unfamiliar visitors. For this reason, he needs an adopter who understands guardian-breed traits and is willing to manage introductions appropriately and advocate for his success. Koda is neutered, fully vaccinated, microchipped, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. He is being fostered in a home in Seguin, Texas. If you're looking for a loyal, affectionate dog who loves both snuggles and playtime, Koda may be the perfect addition to your family. To see more pictures and videos, copy and paste this link. This benefit includes free access to Petcademy’s team of trainers/behaviorists, as well as access to online materials that will help you settle your new family member into your home. You can text unlimited questions to Petcademy and they'll respond within 24 hours (Monday-Friday).

Story
Dakota is a handsome name, kind of a "rugged" kind of name, right?? I am kind of a REFINED RUGGED kind of boy! NOT!! I am a snuggle bug looking for tummy scratches....I willl MELT for one!! Here is what one of our amazing fosters have to say about Dakota...."Super freaking sweet, loves loves belly rubs, is very strong when you walk him but listens well. VERY treat motivated and knows sit down paw and i just taught him roll over yesterday but its a work in progress 😝. Super playful, he will pounce around you and then roll over for belly rubs and absolutely melts for the belly rubs and kisses" I love playing and running with my doggy friends, however, I can lay at your feet very sweetly to beg for your attention. I am kind of like a "reverse" planter as well. I mean, you plant it and i will un-plant it for you :D I won't do it often, just when I want your attention and I am outside alone. So see?? you have great control over that urge! So I am a food and toy lover too, I eat out of a slow feeder bowl because wolfing down my food is not an option! I am learning all things toys and am actually learning how to bring the ball BACK after you throw it. I am a smart and very sweet boy. I do absolutely have a prey drive so no kitties for small furry mammals around me please. I am fully potty trained and great in a crate. Now i just need you to adopt me to complete my circle of life. Now, before you go all "Lion King" on me, just know that I will be your bestest buddy forever!! I am two VERY loyal breeds and once I know you are my family, you will have my unending love :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $450 (includes transport to your area)
