Meet Lewis: The Gentle Giant Lewis is a lovable 90-pound mix of Great Pyrenees and Anatolian Shepherd, boasting a charming personality that matches his impressive size. At over three years old, he has matured into a well-rounded companion, ready to bring joy and protection to his forever home. Health and Care Lewis is in excellent health, up-to-date with all his vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He has been tested and is heartworm negative, ensuring a healthy start for his new family. Background Lewis's journey began when he was picked up as a stray pup by a local shelter. His charm and gentle demeanor quickly caught the attention of rescuers, and he was transferred to our care in March 2023. Since then, he has proven to be a wonderful, trustworthy addition to any household. Temperament and Behavior Dog Friendly: Lewis gets along well with other dogs, making him a great companion for households with existing pets. Kid and People Friendly: His gentle nature ensures he is comfortable around children and adults alike. Leash and Crate Trained: Lewis walks well on a leash and is comfortable being crated, making him adaptable to various living situations. Car Rides: He enjoys car rides, making trips to the park or vet stress-free and enjoyable. Good Recall: Lewis minds well and has excellent recall, responding promptly to commands. Fence and Farm Friendly: Lewis respects boundaries and, once familiar with them, roams freely without issue. He is content staying within a fenced area and shows restraint around livestock. Guardian Instincts: At night, Lewis displays his natural guardian instincts, protecting against potential predators without troubling the livestock. Ideal Home Lewis would thrive in a home with ample space for him to explore and patrol. A farm or a large fenced yard would be perfect, allowing him to utilize his guarding instincts effectively.
