We received Peaches in December after pervious owner could not keep her due to moving. She is about 6 years old. We have a 2 yr puppy and chickens. She sometimes nips our puppy because she isn't one for playing much. She prefers to just chill with her favorite person/people and watch TV. She will sometimes play with other dogs if it's her choice, but not for long periods. She gets a little ornery and overwhelmed with our puppy. When unfamiliar dogs come around, she can get nippy. She would do best with older dogs or no dogs so she can just chill with her people. She does not do well with cats. She doesn't do well with chickens. Which is one of our main reasons for rehoming. She has killed most of our chickens. She knows basic commands and loves to sleep with her people. She is kennel trained. Not leashed trained. We have a fenced yard for her, but she will run away if given the chance. Gets nippy when being disciplined. She prefers to cuddle up in her blankets with her person and chill

Story
We brought Foster home about 5 years ago as our first family pet. He has always been a little difficult to train. We couldn’t crate train, he doesn’t do well being left alone. He’s a reactive dog so he barks at everyone. He’s never bitten anyone but does come off as aggressive with the barking. He’s a gentle dog but does seem to have anxiety. He’s house trained but will go in the house if he’s left alone and will get into food if he has access to it. He’s a great dog that would do better with a less busy family. We have two other pets in the home that he gets along with but it did take some time. We are always on the go and he doesn’t do well being left alone. We would like to see him with someone that can take the time to work with him.

***AVAILABLE for adoption!*** He's baaaaack... You all might remember Archie from back in March. He's been returned by the young family that adopted him. The kids quickly lost interest, mom and dad working opposite shifts found out they had no time to train a young dog, and before you knew it, Archie found himself locked outside in the backyard. He entertained himself by digging holes, chewing up kids toys/patio furniture and barking at squirrels. I got the call last week that he'd somehow gotten ahold of one of their separately penned hens and used her as a chew toy. She didn't make it. Unfortunately, (or fortunately 🤷) that was the last draw for him in this home. I will take the blame fully from making a bad match. I generally don't like to go with couples who work opposite shifts because when one is gone the other is sleeping and vice versa.. Nobody has time for a dog, with a schedule like that and add several young children to boot... My bad. I'll try harder this time buddy. He has a wire hair, non-shedding coat which should be excellent for allergy sufferers. He weighs 55 lb. He's very athletic and energetic. He has lots of puppy energy. He absolutely loves to play with other dogs. He does like to give the cat a run for his money but I really think he's doing it in curiosity and fun. He does not seem prey driven or like he would hurt the cat. And if the cat stood his ground, I think Archie would lose interest. He will play fetch for hours. He loves to go hiking and he has excellent off leash recall. He is very good in the house and hasn't marked anywhere. He goes to the door and barks when he has to go potty. He walks very nicely on a leash and he loves to ride in the car. His only bad habits are jumping up on you, and counter surfing. Both easily corrected with consistency and we're working on that. Like I said he's full of puppy energy and just needs an outlet. He would be an excellent match for a young active outdoorsy couple who wants to have a hiking and camping partner for exploring our beautiful Pacific Northwest. I think he would do best in a home with another dog to romp wrestle and play with and expel energy.
