Story
These cute Kelpie pups were on a recent transport as they needed our help. As you can see from their initial photo's they have had a bit of a rough start to life but with a good supply of puppy food and some medicines, these pups have flourished! New photo's will be coming soon (after our adoption event) so you can truly see these pups and what a couple weeks of concentrated care can do. These pups are small and likely will not be very big - guesstimate is about 35-40 pounds as adults. They have the silliest ears right now, hopefully they grow into them! The pups are up to date on vaccinations for their age. They have been introduced to yard time and have met other dogs. The resident cats occasionally visit as well. These pups are not old enough yet for their spay/neuter surgery so they will need to be fostered-to-adoption, adoption completed upon notice of their alter surgery. The State of Montana requires us to hold a deposit from the foster as a guarantee that the surgery will be performed on or before 6 months of age. This guarantee is $125 and can be paid via check or card - it is refunded to you upon proof of alter surgery. Adoption fee on these cuties is $200 and does include a microchip as well! Please fill out an adoption application form (please find this form on the links header on the TRACS website) and an adoptions specialist will be in contact with you ASAP to discuss.

Story
This handsome pup is Peter!  Being a ~8.5 month old puppy, Peter is a very active curious little guy and while he is happy and content in his familiar surroundings, Peter can be reticent in some new situations. He absolutely adores his people and is quite devoted. He is house trained, crate trained and leash trained. He’s very treat motivated and will sit and take the treats very nicely.  Being the friendly dog that he is, Peter does not have any food guarding. He will sleep in a crate or in bed with someone. He prefers the bed but will go in his crate when you tell him it’s time to go to bed.  He doesn’t like doggy day care and dog parks scare him – too much noise, people and other dogs.  He is current foster home has two children, 8 and 4 and he adores them!   He’s still unsure when he meets new people and other dogs and doesn’t like it when people reach out to pet him or grab him. Or, when dogs get up in his face.  He wants to initiate contact.  He will bark at strangers when they come into your house, he’s not aggressive, he’s afraid. He loves to play fetch – well he loves to chase the ball; he hasn’t mastered bringing it back yet.  Squeaky toys are his favorite.  Stuff toys get taken apart and stuffing is spread everywhere!  He does have a lot of energy but is great at snuggling too! He can be a little “mouthy” when he plays. Zoomies in the backyard are really fun!  He likes the snow and the water.  Likes to haul sticks around. Hauls his blankets around sometimes.   He doesn’t chew on clothes or shoes.  He’s very excited to play and be up and running around in the mornings!  Get him to focus on you, and make him sit and he calms down.  He doesn’t really know how big he is and sometimes thinks he’s a lap dog.  If you are interested in adopting please complete an application at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes spay/neuter, vaccinations, microchip and dewormer.   Please note, Circle 2 Rescue cannot guarantee the breed, composition or ages of our dogs as we usually have limited history prior to them entering the rescue.  We make every effort to ensure the dogs are health ##1820664##
