LOVES TO SNUGGLE AND GET OODLES OF ATTENTION Est. DOB 3/25/24, weight 40 lbs. This young girl Calliope is very sweet and playful, and has energy to spare! Her foster home has several dogs and Calliope wants to play -- er -- wrestle with all of them. She loves to go on walks, meet new people, play with her stuffed animal toys, and snuggle on the couch for movie time. Calliope was abandoned in the parking lot of a PetSmart but fortunately, her future foster mom worked at the store and scooped her right up! Calliope knows Sit and Wait, and likes to sleep in her crate at night. Calliope would love a home where she can get lots of attention and exercise as well as have a canine brother or sister to play with. Is that you? HOPE ID D24-1116-0045 Calliope is currently in the Houston, Texas area but can be transported to this location upon adoption. The $600 adoption fee includes transport, health certificate, spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. Story
This is a high-energy breed and requires regular exercise and mental stimulation. He needs space to run and would do best with someone who can dedicate time and attention to meeting those needs. He lived with another dog for the first year of his life, without any issues but when we tried a new situation with other (new) dogs it didn't go as well as we had hoped. He was much on the defense but probably due to new environment as well. It is suggested he be the only pet in the home, at least to start. His ideal home would most likely be with a young adult or individual living alone, who wants to spend their free time providing structure, exercise, and companionship. He is very smart and wants to please you! Age: Just over 1 year old Breed: Texas healer, Aust. Shepard, Boarder Collie Status: Neutered, Potty trained and Crate trained. With a little coaxing he resides to his crate at night, barking only for a bit and is used to the crate during work hours as well if needed.
