Story
Meet Freya! If you’re looking for a truly special companion who’s bursting with love and smarts, Freya just might be your dream dog! This unique and adorable girl has been patiently waiting since December 2022 for her perfect forever family—a home where she can give all the hugs and kisses her sweet little heart (and body!) can muster. With her cuddly personality and sharp intelligence, Freya is ready to fill your life with joy and endless snuggles. Freya’s not just a sweetheart—she’s also a clever learner who thrives on new challenges. She already knows how to “Sit,” “Down,” “Roll Over,” and gently take treats, and she’s eager to learn even more. Imagine all the tricks and fun games you could teach her with a little one-on-one training! She’s a quick study and a true star when it comes to obedience. When it comes to other dogs, Freya has had plenty of positive experiences here at the shelter. She’s developed a special preference for confident male companions who are cool with letting her be in charge—because this little lady loves to take the lead! A home with that perfect balance of fun and respect would be ideal for her. Freya would thrive in a moderately active home where she can romp around, play fetch, and keep both her mind and body moving. Because she tends to hold onto weight, it’s important she finds a family committed to keeping her at a healthy weight through regular exercise and proper care. Could you be the lucky person to give Freya the loving home she’s been dreaming of? Don’t wait—call the Ranch today and come meet this incredible girl who’s ready to steal your heart! Read Freya's Dog of the Week post here:  https://rrdog.org/dw/meet-freya/ Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. While they are with us, each and every rescue dog receives the best of care in a loving and nurturing environment. Their routines include daily playgroups or partnering with dog buddies, quality time walking or being groomed, and two meals a day with dog biscuits for dessert. All of our dogs receive the best in veterinary care and are spay/neutered, microchipped, heartworm negative, and fully vaccinated.  The standard adoption donation fee for all dogs and puppies is $300 (unless a reduced fee applies )  APPLY NOW       March 7, 2026, 12:07 pm

Story
Zippy is a gentle, dog-friendly pup who was rescued alongside Fables and Slick . While his former buddies have found their forever homes, Zippy is now ready to shine. He is a shy, timid boy who needs a patient handler and a resident dog to help him blossom and gain confidence. Meet Zippy! About Zippy Zippy is a sweet, sensitive soul with a heart of gold. Picked up on A12 with his two buddies, Fables and Slick, Zippy is the last of the trio ready to find his perfect forever family. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs, but people can still make him a little skittish. A Canine Companion: He would do best in a home with another confident dog to show him the ropes. A Patient Leader: He needs an understanding handler who will act as a strong, calm leader, helping him build his confidence over time. Lots of Reassurance: Because he is shy, he needs a family willing to go at his pace and shower him with the positive reinforcement he craves. Working on His Skills Zippy is currently working on his leash manners. While he is getting used to it, he is still learning the ropes and appreciates a gentle hand to guide him.   If you are a patient, dog-savvy owner who can provide the safe, structured environment this sweet boy needs, you might just be the family Zippy has been waiting for. Story
Meet Cocoa – A Tender Heart Waiting for Her Turn to Shine Cocoa is a soft, sensitive soul who’s only just beginning to discover that the world can be kind. After arriving at the Ranch as a devoted mama, she lovingly raised her puppies and watched each of them find a family of their own. Now it’s her time. Cocoa deserves the same love, safety, and devotion she gave so freely to her little ones. This sweet girl is still learning to trust humans, but every day she shows us a little more of the beautiful dog she’s becoming. She needs a calm, patient home—someone who understands that love doesn’t always appear in a rush… sometimes it grows quietly, steadily, and beautifully. With gentle encouragement and positive reinforcement, Cocoa is making genuine progress, especially with her leash skills. Give her a kind word or a soft pat, and she’ll try her very best for you. Cocoa also truly shines around other dogs. A confident canine companion would not only suit her well, but help her continue to blossom. She relaxes more easily, learns faster, and feels safer when she has a dog friend by her side—someone who can show her what trust, play, and comfort look like. Cocoa may not bound into your lap or greet you with wagging enthusiasm on day one, but that’s what makes her journey so special. She’s the kind of dog who forms deep, meaningful bonds—the kind built slowly, with respect and love. And once she trusts you, that trust is unwavering. Cocoa is ready for someone with a big heart and a gentle hand. Someone who sees her quiet bravery. Someone who understands that the most rewarding relationships are often the ones we take the time to nurture. If you’re willing to offer patience, compassion, and a safe haven, Cocoa may be the perfect addition to your family—and the transformation you’ll witness will be nothing short of beautiful. Call the Ranch today to meet Cocoa. You might be the person she’s been waiting for all along. Thank you for considering adopting a Rescue Ranch dog. Meet Rosie – A Gentle Momma with a Heart Full of Love! Rosie is one of our sweet, loving momma dogs still searching for her soft, forever place to call home. All of her adorable babies have found wonderful families, and now it’s Rosie’s turn to find a family who will cherish her just as much. Rosie has an extra gentle personality and makes strong bonds with other dogs. She truly thrives when she has a furry friend to connect with and share playtime, so a home with another dog is highly recommended. Story
Penny, 3 years old! This is penny! She’s a very sweet girl! We are needing to rehome her due to relocating unfortunately. Penny is a very loving a loyal dog. We are her only owners, she’s been raised with other animals and kids! She beyond loves being outdoors and would live outside if she could however she does well in the house too. She does have herding tendencies when the kiddos are all going wild or the other animals are running around. She does have a lot of energy! Penny would benefit in a home that has property or someone who can play with her a lot and help burn off energy! I’d be more than happy to answer any questions! I’d love to meet the potential new owner and see her around them to ensure it was a good fit for her and them! She’s still young and has so much life to live! You will love her, she’s such a lover! Crate trained as well and knows it’s her bed! Comes with! Not charging a fee but I do want to make sure she goes to an amazing home as she will be missed dearly!
