Meet Reba - Learning What It Means to Be Loved Reba was born on the streets and spent her early life running with a pack of dogs in a small rural town. She never knew what it felt like to have a safe place to call home, a person to protect her, or someone to show her that the world could be a good place. But now, Reba's story is beginning to change. Reba is slowly learning that the world isn't so scary when she has someone beside her to keep her safe and remind her that she is loved. She is starting to come out of her shell, and little by little, her sweet personality is beginning to shine through. Reba would likely benefit from having another confident, friendly dog in her forever home who can show her how fun life can be and help her continue building confidence. Meet Athena 💕🐾 Athena is an 18-month-old, 59-pound bundle of sweetness, energy, and adventure looking for her forever home. Athena’s Story Athena was found wandering alone in a shopping mall parking lot. A foster’s daughter began feeding her and sharing posts about her, hoping someone would step up to help. Sadly, nobody did — so Athena was given the chance she deserved, and she has been safe with her foster family since August 23, 2026. Now, she’s ready to find a family of her own. What She’s Like: Athena is sweet, smart, playful, and incredibly entertaining. She absolutely loves having fun and is happiest when she has people, dogs, toys, and adventures around her. She is an active girl who loves to play with other dogs. In fact, she loves them so much that we strongly recommend a home with another active, energetic dog or regular access to doggy daycare or playtime with canine friends. Athena also loves her toys and is a very smart girl who enjoys staying busy. Lila Lily has the kind of satellite ears that could pick up signals from three neighborhoods away and a personality sweet enough to win over just about anyone. She is affectionate from the moment she meets you and will happily climb right into your lap, lay on top of you, and love all over you. Lila is gentle, loyal, and the perfect mix of cuddly companion and adventure buddy. She can spend the day exploring with you and then come home ready to curl up close and enjoy a quiet evening together. She is not too big and not too small, but just right for joining you almost anywhere. We believe she may be an Australian Kelpie and Labrador Retriever mix, but with animal rescue, breed and age are always a mystery and our best guesses. When it comes to people, Lila is incredibly sweet and loving. She is affectionate even with new people and loves being close. Sit down on the floor with her, and she will gently settle against you while soaking up every bit of affection you are willing to give. She is very loyal to her people and has the kind of loving personality that makes it easy to imagine her becoming someone’s devoted best friend. We think Lila could potentially be a great dog for a family with children, and we would be happy to arrange for her to meet some kiddos. Just let us know if you would like to see how she does with children. Lila is dog friendly and has done well with the dogs we have introduced her to. She is not the type to immediately become best friends with a dog she has just met or jump straight into playtime. She prefers to take things a little slower, get acquainted, and decide how she feels before letting loose. Once she is comfortable, she will play occasionally and seems to prefer chase-style play over physical wrestling. She could do well with a medium-energy dog who will give her the time and space she needs to open up. Her new family should understand that it may take her a little while to become playful with another dog in the home. Lila would also be perfectly happy as your one and only fur baby, soaking up all the attention for herself. Lila also met our house cat, Biggie, and handled the introduction beautifully. She was appropriate and very respectful around him. She did not chase him and was not bothered by Biggie jumping around or doing all the unpredictable things cats like to do. Biggie felt comfortable around her too, which is always a great sign. We do not know whether Lila has ever lived with a cat, and this was our first time seeing her interact with one. If you have a cat in your home, we can arrange for Lila to have a sleepover with a cat upon request. Just let us know! Lila is crate trained and generally seems comfortable relaxing in her crate. So far, she has also shown us that she has great house manners and understands where the appropriate potty places are. As with any rescue dog adjusting to a new environment, she may need a little patience while learning her new routine. She loves treats, is eager to please, and already knows how to sit. She is not overly interested in toys right now, but that could change as she becomes comfortable and discovers which ones she likes. Her love of treats and desire to make her people happy should make continued training a fun way to strengthen your bond. Lila is easy to walk on leash and could be happy in a home with a yard, an apartment, or a townhome as long as she receives regular exercise and plenty of time with her people. She would be a wonderful companion for hikes and other adventures, but she is equally content staying home and cuddling with her favorite person. Our old, perfect, classy lady Daisy. Daisy is a 7-year-old mix who weighs approximately 40 lbs and is the sweetest girl. You wouldn’t know she was 7 years old, as she is a puppy by heart. With Daisy you get a cuddling, loving older dog demeanor with the playfulness and happiness of a puppy. And almost no training necessary! Daisy is house and crate trained. Daisy gets along great with other dogs and would do wonderful in a home with another dog to keep her company. She absolutely loves people and is the first one to greet anyone that is coming through the door or gate. Daisy was found roaming the streets of south Texas by Mexico; She was super skinny and you could just see the defeated look in her face. Thankfully, a good Samaritan saw her and couldn’t just turn away from her. She has been in the care of a sanctuary for 6 months now. She is a very relaxed dog. She just wants to lay out in the sun, play a little bit, relax and just hang out. Daisy would do great in a home that is a bit more relaxed and wants a dog that is very casual but VERY loving. She does great on car rides! Her favorite thing to eat are hot dogs. The foster says one of her favorite things about Daisy is that she doesn’t destroy toys, so all toys survive around Daisy, SO FAR. She doesn’t really know commands, but she loves to follow you around,and just wants to find her perfect humans. Please consider giving old lady Daisy a chance at her forever home.
