Story
HI - I'M TULIP! What a perfect name for spring! I'm a 1-year-old Aussie/Cattle Dog mix in need of a foster or forever home. I was rescued from a crowded California shelter along with my pals (or maybe littermates) Tara & Travis - they need homes, too, though we do not need to be adopted together. I'm a sweet gentle girl who loves other dogs, and I love people. I am a pretty golden color and could have a little retriever in me, too. I weigh only 35-40 lbs. Can you foster or adopt me? Please email for an application.

Story
Chance is approximately 1 year old. Was found abandoned on the side of the road. He has terrible separation anxiety and I work full time, go to school full time and am a single mom. Chance does great when he is around people or in his kennel. If left out of his kennel and alone, he will chews things up.

Story
If you’re looking for a pint-sized powerhouse of brains, speed, and heart — Sprite might just be your dream adventure buddy! Approximately 10 months old and 25 pounds. Sprite is a smol but mighty mix of Border Collie and ACD (confirmed by Embark), and she embodies the best of both worlds: athletic, intelligent, and endlessly curious. At just 8 months old, she’s already fast, agile, and loves to climb, explore, and zoom through life with a big grin. She’s a toy chaser extraordinaire who hasn’t quite mastered fetch or tug yet, but she’s eager to learn — especially if snacks are involved! Sprite is highly food motivated, quick to pick up new skills, and thrives with regular exercise and mental challenges. She’s crate trained, potty trained, and travels like a pro, though she’s still polishing her indoor manners. Sprite has great recall on the trail, loves hiking, and yes — she swims (see video)! She adores people and other dogs, though her play style leans toward the rowdy side. She reads other dogs well, but she’ll need continued guidance for polite greetings and managing her barrier reactivity. Because of her high herding drive and enthusiasm, she’s best suited for homes without young kids or cats (chasing is her favorite sport). Sprite’s ideal home is one that embraces her drive and intelligence — agility, scent work, herding, dock diving… this girl could shine in it all! If you’re ready to channel all that sparkle into fun, adventure, and teamwork, Sprite will be your most loyal (and speedy!) partner. Sprite's adoption fee is $350 and includes spay, vaccines and microchip. If you are interested in meeting and possibly adopting Sprite, please complete an adoption application located here: https://idawg.org/application.html

Story
Peanut is a happy, playful and lovable boy. He is seven years old and loves to play ball. He’s very smart and learns quickly. He has lots of personality. He will cover you with kisses especially if you are sad. He sits by the door when he wants out and gives you side eye. He was adopted as a puppy from the humane society. He was raised with other dogs and a cat. He is not leash trained and gets claustrophobic in small spaces. He has not been around children, but probably be a good dog for kids because he is so playful.

Story
Meet Bella. A very loving, obedient, having plenty of energy, 6-7 yr old female Australian Kelpie who loves to play fetch, so much so that you will have to make her stop. She loves to relax and cuddle, and is a great watchdog. Walks well on a leash and will follow your lead rather than taking the lead and walking you. This is by no means her fault that I need to find her a new home, hopefully one that has plenty of room for her to run and possibly be the only pet, only because she loves to be the center of your attention. I must clarify her getting along with other dogs: Yes. She got along great with our male husky that we recently lost to kidney failure. and No. She is having issues with the new female husky that we just got. I'm still attempting to get her to change her mind, though.
