Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Boise, ID Hachiko is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 33 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots, but isn’t on heartworm prevention. Hachiko is good with cats and dogs! He hasn’t been tested around children. No farm animals, due to his reactivity! He is given fluoxetine for his separation anxiety. Hachiko has bitten the owner once (level 2 bite on the Ian Dunbar scale) on his right forearm. He has also lunged and snapped at his owner and the owner’s partner unprovoked numerous times. The owner is surrendering Hachiko because he has unpredictable moments of reactivity towards himself and the owner’s partner. The owner is also worried that Hachiko will go after their chicken and indoor rabbit. He needs to find a new furever home as soon as possible! If you think you can provide a great home for Hachiko, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. While Francis may not be house trained yet, she is eager to learn. Francis is a spirited & intelligent pup with a zest for life. Her Aussie/Collie heritage shine through in her keen intelligence & and her desire to please her humans. She is a quick learner & thrives on mental & physical stimulation. Despite her small size, Francis has a big heart & endless affection to give. She adores cuddle sessions & will happily curl up in your lap after a long day of play, although right now she's a little scared at the shelter. Francis is also incredibly loyal & forms strong bonds with her family members & doggy playmates. She would love a home with another dog to play with, as this is her favorite things to do! Francis is seeking a loving home with a fenced yard where she can run & play to her heart's content. No apartments, please.
