🐾 Meet Pim—A Brave Survivor from Guatemala! Pim, a shepherd mix girl, was rescued from the streets after suffering heartbreaking cruelty as a young puppy. While trying to survive, she was injured by children who threw stones at her. Thankfully, Pim was brought to safety, received treatment for her injuries, and was given the love and care she desperately needed. Today, Pim has left her painful past behind and blossomed into a loving, playful, and happy young dog. She is approximately 1½ years old, house-trained, and good with children and other dogs. Despite everything she endured, Pim still trusts, loves, and finds joy in life. Now she needs a family who will cherish her, protect her, and show her that she will never be harmed or abandoned again. She is spayed and microchipped and fully vaccinated. Miss Leighton is now available for adoption! We have had these puppies (and mom) since they were 2 weeks old and now that they are at the 8-week mark, they are ready for their new forever families! This litter of puppies is quite social and happy go lucky. They have recently been introduced to the grass and most of them had great fun - especially since they had a kitty friend showing them the way. Leighton is more reserved than her sister and is more likely to observe before jumping into playtime - she loves the laces on my shoes! Leighton's mom is commonly referred to as a mini-Aussie, but research tells us that the AKC refers to this smaller stature shepherd as a Miniature American Shepherd. These puppies have no papers but with mom only being about 30 pounds, these puppies should fall into the category of miniature when they reach adult size. They will be great family dogs however; we do encourage some research as they are a herding breed - and will herd their people, other pets, kids, cats, etc. if they get bored. Make sure you can give them the exercise requirements to keep them healthy both mentally and physically. These puppies have received their first vaccines and dewormer and will be microchipped before heading home. They are too young yet to be altered so they will go into their new homes as a foster-to-adopt. This is a requirement under the laws of the state of Montana which also includes a monetary $200 deposit (refundable) to be made at the time of adoption as the adopters guarantee that the pet will be altered by 6 months of age - proof of alter from the vet of your choice is required for refund.
