Multiple meets might be necessary.Has this dog lived with cats? Yes. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---Condensed Staff Assessment Notes: Kai is a gentle, cautious dog who likes to explore before trusting people. He shows some interest in toys but doesn’t play much and isn`t interested in play with humans. He`s not a resource guarder and eats with no issues. Kai doesn`t care for men or small children but is okay with children 16+. He greeted a large dog well but showed stress signals; after investigation, he avoided the dog. Kai is dog selective but becomes loving, following and enjoying petting once trusting. He`s a bit touch-sensitive around his hindquarters; petting from mid-back to nose is fine, but he`s worried around the tail and hind legs.
