Story
I want to start out saying we love Oscar and if we could keep him we would. I listed our reason for rehoming him as moving because that was the best fit, but it is not so simple. We are an Air Force family and since Oscar became part of our family we lived off base away from the planes and associated noise. We no longer have the option to live off base and wont for the next 3-5 years. He HATES the planes. We have tried all the fixes up to and including medication. Unfortunately it has not worked and he is miserable. We know that this is not typical behavior as we lived off base for the first 4 years of his life and he was a typical playful energetic sweet dog. Hes part of our family, but keeping him in this state of anxiety is not fair to him or us. He is a great dog. He loves our 2 year old and he is great on a leash.

I am an 84 year old Veteran with Parkinson’s and I am no longer able to live alone. I am moving into a Veteran’s home and cannot take Rhett with me. He is a registered miniature Australian Shepherd and is primarily indoor but does well outside too. He is also crate trained.

Jessy is a sweet 13-year-old dog (as of 4/11/25) who warms up once she gets to know you, though it may take some time. She gets along well with submissive dogs, as she tends to be dominant. With age, she has mellowed, which may make her an even better companion. She does have trouble with her thyroid and is on medication for it.

Hi! My name is copper. I’m a red merle Australian shepherd and I’m about 4 years old. I’m weary and alert with new people, but when I get to know you, you and me will be best friends. I currently live in a home with dogs but me and my dog brother don’t get along I’ve never been good with other dogs so I would do best in a home where I’m the only baby. I’ve never been around kids so I’m unsure what to think about them. I’m vary energetic. I need a home that can keep up with my playful energy.
