Meet Smokey! A 3-year-old Aussie mix with beautiful blue eyes. We don't know much about her, but she's been lovely with everyone she's met here in shelter. Smokey has previously lived with dogs and been around larger animals like horses. History with children and cats is unknown. She's currently in a loving foster home where she enjoys endless cuddles and walks in the neighborhood.

Our best guess is that she’s an Australian Shepherd/Husky mix, but with animal rescue, breed is always a bit of a mystery. What we do know is that she is beautiful inside and out, with enough personality to keep you thoroughly entertained. Stella is very sweet, affectionate, and social. She loves being part of the fun and has that happy, curious spirit that makes you want to bring her along. She knows how to sit, walks well on a leash, and will be a fun dog to continue training with. She also loves toys, especially stuffies, and is perfectly happy entertaining herself with one. Watching her make her own fun is entertainment all by itself! Stella would thrive in a home with a backyard where she can run, stretch her legs, and investigate all the interesting smells. Apartment living could work for her too, with adequate exercise and plenty of opportunities to satisfy her adventurous spirit. Walks, trails, hikes, or a good play session outside would all be right up her alley. She would love a family who enjoys getting out together and giving that curious mind something fun to do. Stella also has potential to make a great family companion. Her foster has grandchildren ages 3 and 5 and reports that she does great with them. Her sweet, social nature gives her so much to offer a family who wants to include their dog in daily life. Welcome Porsche to CCPAL Rescue. Porsche is an Aussie mix is our best guess. She looks like he is mixed with something small. She is about 8 pounds now and should be medium sized full grown. We think 25-30 full grown. She is very sweet, has good eye contact and has a soft coat and down ears. Her coat is really soft. She is active and the group is vocal but not over the top. A person that does not work all day every day for 5 days a week is the best for a puppy. Someone that can work from home some or has partial days or some days off to spend to help your new puppy acclimate is best. You need time to be with your puppy to socialize them and to finish off their puppy training. Porsche was very easy to handle taking his photos and she wasn’t afraid of new people and liked being held. She sat on the table with confidence while we worked with her. She is getting daily attention and holding at the Rescue. She is getting his DHPP vaccinations and dewormed. She is good in her play group. She is kenneled in the evening and is learning to go potty on a wee pad. She is currently at the CCPAL Rescue in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to get her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. She would be fine with children. We like them to be 8 or older. Her adoption fee is $600 and transport is $200.
