Story
Imagine having a home one day, and the next, being tied up under a bridge in the sweltering Houston heat, left to fend for yourself with nothing but hope and the kindness of strangers. That’s how Noodles’ story began. But it’s not how it will end. Noodles is a resilient little Westie mix, about 4–5 years old, who’s already been through more than most dogs should in a lifetime. He was found alongside two other dogs, abandoned and helpless. Covered in fleas and grime, he arrived at the vet in heartbreaking condition. But what shines through even more than his dirt and fear is his potential, because Noodles is on the verge of an incredible transformation. Noodles is the only male of the trio, and though he’s still a little unsure and overwhelmed, there’s a gentle, playful spirit underneath it all. He ventures out to play with the other pups and will quietly curl up at your feet, soaking in every ounce of safety and comfort he’s given. Right now, what Noodles needs most is time - time to feel safe, time to adjust, and most importantly, time to be loved. We know that in the right home, with someone patient and kind, Noodles will blossom. He doesn’t need much, just a soft place to land and someone to show him that people can be kind and the world can be safe again. He’s good with other dogs and would thrive in a calm, nurturing environment. Noodles is ready to begin his next chapter - and it could be with you. Let’s show this little guy what love really feels like. Adopt Noodles and be part of his glow-up. He’s waited long enough.December 22, 2025, 9:41 pm

Story
5.5 months old Freya is only 9 lb at the moment and may not grow more than 15. Start your application via www.savesomesouls.com Freya and her sister Frida were found by a busy freeway with their mother Fiona by a Good Samaritan who saved their lives. Freya is very loving and super adorable. Although a puppy, since her mother and sister left for their forever homes, Freya has become very quiet and submissive.. She is very sweet and giving Freya lives with her foster doggie brother, and sleeps at night with her 7 year old human sister and loves to play with their four kitty foster siblings. Her idea home will have a playful doggie sibling. She is current on all her shots. She is microchipped, heartworm negative and kept on deworming schedule, and heartworm and flea preventative. She is already spayed and microchipped. She is currently being fostered in Texas, but can travel to any state, even Canada to the right home. Freya's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, GPS tracker, Harness, leash and a high quality nylon Martingale collar. To meet this gorgeous pup via facetime or whatsapp or other video chat apps, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards, if any, must be adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued from our high kill shelters, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and the shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
BEST LITTLE PAL IN THE WORLD  DOB 9/5/25, weight 10# Hey there, everyone! I’m Cecelia, a.k.a. Ceci, a cheerful, inquisitive, and alert blonde Cairn Terrier mix gal who’s small enough for a lap-top snuggle and sturdy enough for a good romp on the lawn. Like most Cairn mixes, I do best with lots of close family contact. I’m cat-friendly and get along great with small dogs as well as kids. I’m crate trained, and I’m almost housebroken. A British breed club promotes us Cairns as the "best little pal in the world." We were originally bred to fearlessly root out foxes and badgers in the rocky Scottish countryside. Cairns became family favorites when Toto starred in "The Wizard of Oz." When I was about two months old, I was found, along with my buddy Cesar, in a box that was abandoned next to an apartment dumpster. I’m so grateful that Foster Mom welcomed us into her home with her other rescued animals. Now I’m ready to bring my cheery personality to brighten my forever home. Could that be with you? If scruffy terriers are your penchant, I was made to order for you! Arrange to meet me today! I'm anticipating crawling up in your lap for some chin and cheek scratches. I promise to leave tiny paw prints all over your heart. HOPE ID D25-1119-0052 Cecelia’s $200 adoption fee includes spay/neuter, basic vaccines, microchip and registration, testing for heartworms, negative fecal test, and preventative treatment for heartworms and fleas. To apply online:http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site Cecelia will be this weekend, email us at lisagilchrist16@gmail.com, and a volunteer will get back to you.
