Story
Meet Nosa – The Graceful Egyptian Mau Princess, Sister to Simba! Nosa is a gorgeous 9-month-old Egyptian Mau, sister to Simba — both born from a proud lineage that traces all the way back to the cats of the Pharaohs. Egyptian Maus are one of the world’s oldest natural breeds, revered in ancient Egypt and celebrated for their beauty, intelligence, and loyalty. Like her brother, Nosa has the exotic spotted coat and mesmerizing green eyes that make this breed so special. She’s lively, playful, and full of curiosity — with a personality similar to a Bengal. She loves to explore her surroundings, chase toys, and show off her graceful agility. Nosa also has a sweet, gentle side. Once she feels safe and loved, she enjoys affection and companionship. She would thrive in a home where she has space to play, time to bond, and people who will adore her for the special cat she is. Nosa is healthy, vaccinated, and spayed — ready to start her new life! If you’re looking for a cat with beauty, intelligence, and royal Egyptian roots, Nosa could be your perfect companion. Contact us today to learn more about Nosa — and ask about her brother Simba, too!Together or apart, these two young Maus are ready to bring ancient magic and modern love into your home. All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Potential adopters for our Persian cats need to have prior Persian cat experience as they need to be well cared for.  Grooming, dental, and veterinarian exams are done once a year, and a good quality brand of cat food such as Royal Canin, Hills Science Diet, or Purina Pro plan is the upper tier level with a black label. We are a rescue and get what we get in terms of cats in need of a home. In no way do we work with breeders or buy the cats from the Friday markets so we can put them up for adoption as a rescue. https://www.petstablished.com/adoption_form/11596/generic Native Mau Cats of Egypt are the oldest known descendants of Egyptian domesticated cats (which have provided a partial foundation for the recent Egyptian Mau cat breed), and they are one of only a few naturally occurring, small, spotted cats in the world. Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and by an approved application.   NVEcats aims to increase education in Egypt and around the world about these magnificent and intelligent cats. Cats and kittens are not adopted out on a “first-come, first-serve” basis. We choose to match our applicants and cats based on what we deem as best suited for that particular cat or kitten. ##2568107##

Name: Stella Breed: Egyptian Mau baladi Sex: F Age: approx 6 months Good with dogs? Not sure because she was bitten by a dog on the street. Good with cats? She was good with her litter mates, but they’re the only cats I’ve seen her interact with. Good with kids? I would expect so, but it is untested. Good with people? Excellent Energy level? Typical playful kitten, Litter trained? Yes, Health concerns? No Behavioural concerns? No Spayed/Neutered?  Yes Microchipped? Yes, PERSONALITY Very, very clever. Very affectionate. Has bonded very quickly to me after 1 week in the home + feeding on the streets for 2 weeks. Very affectionate with other people (men and women) if I’m there. Also very vocal, especially when something is new or she wants something, or she is greeting you. When I took her in, she had a swollen leg and couldn’t walk on it. The vet said it was most probably caused by a dog bite. Thankfully, after a course of antibiotics, she is now healed All of our cats for adoption are sterilized, fully vaccinated, treated for fleas/worms, are negative for FIV/FELV, have a registered microchip, and come with their travel crate.  Adoptions are on a cost-recovery basis and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent of the law. Story
Meet Basbousa's Son Meshmesh– Two Precious Persians Looking for the Love They Deserve  Basbousa was saved, brought to safety, and soon after gave birth while boarding at a veterinary clinic. Her only surviving kitten, MeshMesh, a sweet boy who is now almost 11 months old, has known nothing but the small room at the clinic since the day he was born. Despite being vaccinated, dewormed, deflead, and neutered, he’s never had the chance to experience a real home. No one chose him — someone once said he “wasn’t pretty enough.” This poor boy’s only interactions with humans have been with the vet staff during treatments, so when someone walks in, he thinks he’s about to get a shot. What he truly needs is gentle patience, kindness, and love — someone to show him that human hands can bring comfort, not fear. He is fully vetted, healthy, and ready for adoption. He just needs a chance — someone who will look beyond appearances and see the love and loyalty waiting within. If you can open your heart and home to Basbousa, or her son, or both, please reach out. They’ve waited long enough for the warmth and love of a real family. Meet Soutohee – The Handsome Young Egyptian Mau Prince! Soutohee is a striking 9-month-old male Egyptian Mau, brother to Simba, and Nosa — a remarkable sibling group that carries the royal legacy of Egypt’s most ancient and treasured cats. The Egyptian Mau is one of the world’s oldest natural breeds, tracing its lineage all the way back to the time of the Pharaohs. Full of energy and personality, Soutohee is curious, athletic, and intelligent — much like a Bengal in temperament. He loves to play, explore, and interact with his surroundings, always eager for a game or an adventure. But behind that lively spirit is a sweet, affectionate heart that just wants love and attention from his humans. Soutohee is healthy, vaccinated, and neutered — ready for his forever home! If you’re looking for a cat with both ancient beauty and modern charm, Soutohee could be the perfect match. Contact us today to meet Soutohee — and ask about his siblings Simba and Nosa. Each one is a living piece of Egypt’s history, waiting to bring love, elegance, and a touch of magic into your home.
