Story
Looking to be the only dog in a home with no kids. Sophie is a 2-3 year old, 50lb Bulldog mix looking to be the queen of the castle in a pet-free home. Sophie thrives in a calm understanding environment with consistency and routine. Give her a cozy place to curl up, endless belly rubs, and an ice cube or two and you'll be guaranteed to have a new best friend. She is a low energy gal; short bursts of play are all she needs. She is always excited to go on her daily park adventure, but after 15-20min will tell you she is done with a tug back to the car. Sophie is still working on learning to play gently, and can get nippy and jumpy when excited, so would be best in a home without young kids (older dog savvy kids likely ok) She is calm and content in her kennel, settles in with no issues. She is crate trained at night and when left alone. Housetraining is progressing well– she knows where to go and does so efficiently, has very few accidents with frequent breaks, but still needs to learn how to ask to go outside. Sophie can be overwhelmed with all the excitement outside of the home and would benefit from ongoing controlled exposure to the outdoors. She is getting more comfortable on her foster parent's roof top patio and thinks a fenced yard would be a dream come true! Leash training is a work in progress, but with time and consistency from a dog savvy owner we are confident she can get there. If you're searching for a soft, snuggly, low-key companion with a heart as big as her jowls, Sophie might just be your girl Sophie's adoption fee is $600
