Hi, I'm Bentley. My previous owner went to jail, so now I'm looking for a forever home with a law abiding citizen. I'm a sweet boy who does well with most dogs, and people. I seem to do better with female dogs. I'm not so great with cats. I can be a little touchy about my mouth and ears being touched so older kids who can respect my boundaries would be OK, but no little ones please. I appear to be a purebred English Bulldog. Please do some research on the breed before applying. We are prone to health problems because of our squashed in faces, and can be intolerant to exercise. I'm around three and a half years old and weigh about 63 pounds. I'm neutered, microchipped, current on my shots, and HW negative. I am crate trained and housebroken, but will likely need a refresher in my new home. If you're interested in meeting me please fill out an application and my friends with ARPO will be in touch! A home visit will be required so only homes in a 50 mile radius of Indianapolis should apply. Big Mama came to us during a large hoarding case, where we took in 20+ animals. We called her Big Mama, as it was thought she was pregnant, and fed her as such. Turns out, she was NOT pregnant, and had to lose some weight. Over time she has been on a low calorie (supplemented with green beans) diet, exercise, and has lost a lot of weight! She is a stout, friendly, happy girl. She loves everyone, toys, walks, and being next to you. She also loves her crate! Is housetrained when she is able to go out often. Owners would have to stick to her diet and exercise to make her most comfortable.

Meet Tucker! Tucker is a 1-year-old neutered male Beagle–Bulldog mix weighing about 32 pounds. He’s fun-sized, a short little guy who will probably look like a puppy forever! Tucker is crate trained and sleeps in his crate at night and when his human leaves the house. He loves comfy dog beds and has not shown any interest in getting on furniture. Potty training is still a work in progress but he’s learning with consistency and patience. He’s a sweet, sensitive boy who can be shy at first, but once he warms up he becomes a total velcro dog and wants to be wherever you are. He loves food and treats and is learning new things every day. He does well in the car and walks nicely on leash, and he was a perfect angel at the vet. Tucker has done well with other dogs so far, though he’s currently fostered with a very laid-back dog, so his experience with super playful pups is still unknown. He would do best in a patient, gentle home, as raised voices can scare him. He would do best in a home without cats. Meet Junior! Junior is an 8-year-old American Bulldog mix with a laid-back personality and a heart of gold. He’s been an easy, go-with-the-flow kind of guy in his foster home, getting along wonderfully with other dogs, even those with bigger personalities. He’s tolerant, patient, and enjoys playing when the mood strikes, especially with his dog friends, but is otherwise calm, quiet, and content to relax nearby. He shares toys nicely and shows no signs of guarding, making him a great companion for a multi-dog household. Junior is fully housebroken and does well when left alone. While he’s not crated regularly, he handles it just fine when needed. He may whine a bit at first but settles down without trying to escape. He’s not a fan of car rides, so a home where those are kept to a minimum would suit him best. Because he tends to chase cats, a cat-free home is recommended. He hasn’t been tested around kids yet. Junior does have a few quirks to be aware of. In some new environments, particularly around new people, he has occasionally tried to hump, though this hasn’t been an issue in his current foster home. He can also be a bit stubborn at times and may need encouragement to do things he’s unsure about. At the vet, he gets nervous and may react when being handled, but this is something he’s actively working on. The good news is Junior is extremely treat motivated, which makes training and building trust much easier. With a patient and understanding adopter who can continue to guide him, Junior will make a loyal, easygoing companion. ##2708597##
