Meet Leonard, a handsome 4-year-old, 93-pound English Bulldog with a lovable face and an even bigger heart! Leonard is a big sweetheart who becomes incredibly affectionate once he gets to know and trust you. He may bark when first meeting someone new, but give him a little time and you’ll soon discover a loyal companion who loves being close to his people. Leonard enjoys playing with a ball, taking walks, and running around the yard. He has plenty of energy and thrives on attention and interaction with his family. Around the house, Leonard likes to follow his people from room to room and will happily settle down and sleep nearby. He loves affection and being part of whatever his family is doing. Leonard gets along well with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion. Cats, however, are another story—Leonard likes to chase them, so a cat-free home would be best. Because Leonard is a big, energetic boy who may accidentally knock someone over, he would do best in a home without small children or elderly family members who could be unsteady on their feet. Angel is built like a baked potato, cuddles like it is her full-time job, and carries herself with the confidence of someone who has never once questioned whether she is the most important person in the room. She is sweet, affectionate, outgoing, and so naturally funny that she can make you laugh without actually doing anything. We believe she may be an English Bulldog mix, but with animal rescue, breeds are always a mystery and never an exact science! Angel is dog friendly and has met a handful of dogs with different sizes and personalities. Her approach to friendship is very classically bulldog. She is confident, headstrong, slightly bossy, and fully prepared to appoint herself president of the household without holding an election. She would do best with a tolerant, easygoing dog who does not take life too seriously and is comfortable letting Angel believe she is in charge. A passive companion who can shrug off a little bulldog sass and go with the flow would likely be her best match. She does not need another dog in the home to feel comfortable or help her open up. Tater Tot is exactly what his name suggests- golden brown, round, hearty, a little lumpy, deeply lovable, and best enjoyed on the couch. He is estimated to be around 7 years old and is every bit the classic bulldog experience rolled into one chunky little package. Low to the ground, low on energy, and highly motivated by snacks, Tater Tot is not looking for adventure. He is looking for comfort, air conditioning, and someone who understands the beauty of a simple life. Rescue rules apply, so no promises on breed or birthday. Primrose, Princeton and Percival's mom was abandoned at a home when her previous owners moved out. She was left out on a chain to fend for herself. Luckily the neighbors realized she had been left behind and took her in. She was in horrible physical condition and pregnant by to neighborhood stray (a black lab) that would jump the fence when she was in heat. It was reported by the neighbors that these 2 had had multiple litters together but none of the puppies ever survived. The neighbors children fell in love with mom and they are keeping her but needed help rehoming her very last litter (we assisted in getting her spayed). These pups are the most laid back and chill group I have ever seen.
