Story
It's Sonny Days Ahead Another dirt road dump, Sonny Jim was shrewd enough to follow a kind lady home from her daily walk, where he talked her into good food and a cozy bed. At just around a year old, this now thriving youngster is learning that life is not always puppy antics, as he tackles the core code of conduct for successfully living with humans. Strikingly handsome and friendly, Sonny Jim is an unwritten novel waiting for his forever family to chart his course. Housebroken; tolerates crating but prefers a cozy armchair or couch. Cohabitates with another dog. Puppy energy with that youngster ability to engage at full speed and then crash into some quick zzz’s. UTD age appropriate vaccines, HW and parasite free, neutered, chipped. $350 adoption contribution. To meet Sonny Jim, complete an adoption application (not a commitment) at www.dirtroaddoggiesrescue.org  ##2653177##

Story
A foster-to-adopt option is available for me, giving us the chance to get to know each other before making it official! Tayum and her sisters had a rough start in life after being found in a hoarding situation, left outside, and neglected — but you’d never know it from the bright, happy pup she is today. Tayum has blossomed into a sweet, affectionate, and energetic girl who’s ready for her forever home. She has calmed down beautifully in her foster home. She’s about 95% potty trained, knows some basic commands, and is very food-motivated, which makes her a quick and eager learner. She loves her crate and often curls up inside on her own when she’s tired. Her fosters haven’t heard her bark, and she’s getting better on leash every day. She also adores snuggling and is good with other dogs. Tayum is in that fun puppy stage where she’s exploring the world, practicing her leash skills, and sharing all the wiggles and love she has. Her breed mix is known for being friendly, athletic, curious, and people-oriented — with high energy, strong scent-tracking instincts, and a natural love for outdoor adventures. A secure yard and supervised outside time will help keep her nose from leading the way too far. Her past may have been tough, but her future is full of promise. Tayum is eager to learn, ready to bond, and excited to become someone’s new best friend. She currently weighs about 23lbs., (est. birth date 05/27/2025), and her adoption fee is $185. Tayum has been spayed, is up to date on all vaccinations & preventatives, and is microchipped. Please make sure your schedule can accommodate a puppy as they will be a member of your family for the next 10 to 15 years. If you want to know more about Tayum, please complete a survey at https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/FKDS/Dog. After submitting a survey, an adoption counselor will contact you within 72 hours to give you more information about the dog you are interested in adopting and to arrange for you to meet. You must be at least 21 years of age to adopt.
