Hi Friends! My name is Ellie - nicknames include Ellie Belly, Ellie Jelly, or Ellie girl. I walk very good on a leash - I don’t pull, or drag. I use the bathroom on a leash - I prefer to use the bathroom in the same spot. I love to go on nature walks or any public trail, new smells are the best along with a car ride! I jump right in for the new adventure. I’m a gentle soul that needs another gentle soul. New people and sounds can sometimes be scary. I am crate trained at home and on car rides for my safety. I am fully house trained. I love living with cats and other dogs. I love my fur family. I do great with any dog all sizes, genders and breeds. I would prefer to go to a home with other fur animals. I am such a good girl I don’t mind anyone trimming my toes or giving me a bath. Please consider me as your new companion. I am looking for my forever home and human. Could it be you? I have a few restrictions to adopting me but not much! I am required to be leashed when outside, my nose takes my body wherever it wants to go I can’t help it. I can jump fences, gates, and kennels, I have legs of a kangaroo and a nose of an elephant. I am 4 years old and weigh around 35 pounds. Our adoption fee is $235, payable during a successful meet and greet. Please submit an inquiry or email us for our adoption application. Farm Friends Rescue often receives more adoption applications than we have dogs in our program. We are a team of volunteers and processing those applications takes time and resources. Placing one of our dogs into a home is a responsibility that we take seriously. Our goal is to find the best forever family for each and every dog.

Molly, treeing walker, approx 10 months, 25 lbs. good w dogs, cats, kids over 10; A fawn-like walker remarkably good with cats, Molly was wandering starved when found and is now in foster fattening up and learning to walk on a leash and working on housetraining. She is typically energetic, great with dogs, gentle with kids but no young kids who can leave a gate open; she is a hound and will take off! Molly absolutely needs a secure fenced. Her foster writes , “Molly loves everyone. Very sweet and wants love and attention all the time. Just wants to be with her human.” Ideal for a walker-lover who appreciates the true sweetness and loyalty of the breed , or playmate for your playful resident dog. Please be aware, Hounds tend to have energy and require daily exercise and mental stimulation. This dog is available and everything we know about this dog is included in the dog's description. We are only able to respond to questions once a completed application is received https://crisisdogsnc.org/dog-adoption/. We do not respond to questions about our dogs sent through email or social media. Excellent vet references and a virtual home visit required. Your prior or current dog must be on year-round heartworm prevention. We transport by land or air whenever possible.
