Story
Frederick is full of energy and has so much love to give! He's the perfect combination of cute, sweet, and goofy. He would love another dog to play with in his forever home, but could also be just fine as a solo pup as long as his new family is active and gets his energy out. He loves toys (especially ones that crinkle or squeak), playing tug of war, and wrestling with his foster brother. He is crate trained and will bark to let you know he doesn't want you to leave but does settle down quickly. And he's doing well on leash. He can easily get distracted and sometimes needs a gentle reminder to walk straight. But he's a hound and there are so many new smells! Frederick is a handsome boy with a stunning smile. If you are interested in adopting this dog, please fill out an application.  We do allow out of state adoptions and any transport costs are at the expense of the adopter.  If you have further questions about this dog, please email us at ccradopt@gmail.com and someone will be in touch as soon as possible. Please note we are unable to hold dogs for adopters as this ties up valuable foster homes. Michigan is a 2-year old boy that came to us in August. He's coming out of his shell and learning about this big beautiful world! Here's what his foster has to say about him: "Michigan is a sweet shy guy that grows more curious by the day! He loves spending time outside and sitting in a sunny spot. He’s a brave boy that is starting to get used to couch snuggles and chin scratches. Michigan prefers the company of other dogs to show him how to be comfortable. With a gentle leader head collar, he does great on a leash and is an amazing running partner! He’s been able to run 3 miles with no trouble and would be the best training buddy." Michigan must go to a home with another dog to help him feel comfortable in his new place!
