A sweet, smart little hound mix, Astra loves to play with everyone and loves her toys. She'll cuddle up with her babies for nap time and sling them around when it's playtime. About five months old and 25 pounds, this cute brown and white girl loves to be with others, but also doesn't mind being on her own and self-soothes well. Come meet this little cutie. She may be your new best friend!

Story
Handsome Houston!  Sweet Houston was rescued from the local shelter and has been with an amazing foster since January 2024. A little over a year old he still has puppy energy.  He loves to run, play ball, play tugg and chew on his hard chew toys.  His favorite activity is snuggling with his people.  He has been living an indoor life with a fenced in back yard. Walker hounds are runners and are capable of covering a lot of ground in a hurry so he will need to be on a leash if not contained in a fence.   Houston is extremely intelligent and eager to learn.  He is highly treat motivated making training much easier.  He is crate trained and loves car rides. Houston has been practicing walking on a leash with his foster as well as sit and heel.    Houston tested positive for heartworms and has since completed his treatments. He will need to be rechecked in August to monitor his progress.  He is neutered, microchipped and upt to date on al his vaccines.. He gets along well with other dogs his size and has never met a stranger.  ##1918173##
