Story
Hi, my name is PRINCESS, and here is a little info about me: Breed: English Setter/Spaniel mixAge: 2 yearsGender: FemaleWeight: 75 lbs / 34 kgHeight: 27 inches / 68 cmCountry of origin: Middle EastHighlight(s): Friendly, intelligent, eager to learn, good with dogs ,cats& kids Thank you for taking a moment to get to know me, as I certainly want to get to know you!  Don't let my regal name deter you. As a spaniel, I wouldn't shy away from some muddy times while accompanying you on hikes, swims, and romps at the dog park!  My bags are officially unpacked in Vancouver, and I'm settling in like a true Canadian, earning high marks!  I’ve officially mastered 'Sit' and am crushing the cruel 'Leave It' command. My foster mom says I'm a champion at respecting boundaries (and yes, I know exactly which part of the couch I’m allowed to steal).  Paws up! My luxurious coat is looking amazing and barely sheds anymore! However, just so you know, I'm not hypoallergenic (my fluff will be worth the brush!). I spent my first few months neglected, malnourished, and tied up on a short leash in a sad, old building. Then, a kind neighbor heard me and started bringing me food, earning my trust. She stood up for me, advocated for my release from what felt like "doggy jail," and brought me to the shelter. I've been safe here and thriving for about nine months (since October 2023)!My rescuer named me Princess because while I make friends easily (canine and human alike), I prefer to eat my meals alone, please and thank you. **A Queen In Training** Past trauma caused resource guarding (food/toys), but my training is a huge success: I’ve mastered 'Wait,' sit automatically for meals, and I’m quickly building trust that my resources are secure. I socialize well with dogs (we enjoy zoomies!) and people. Im fully housetrained and respects boundaries beautifully. The best kind of home for me would be one that offers some adventure time. Cuddles and relaxed time at home would also be fabulous! I'm pretty adaptable, so should fit into most home environments. I am officially 'Cat Approved' and do fine with cats. I am 100% good with other dogs, as long as there are no toys or food involved. I just need a loving human to help me continue my training so I can trust that all my treasures will be there forever! Energy Level: ModerateI get along with:Dogs: YesCats: YesKids: Yes Fears: The past is in the past! Thanks to my amazing foster family, I have successfully overcome my initial timidness and fears of men, the leash, and quick movements around my head.Training: Leash skills: YesHouse trained: Yes Health notes:I have been spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $800.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. While our rescuers always seek a flight without a charge, there is the possibility of a passenger fee, not to exceed $300. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue.Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems.Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. While most dogs find escorting passengers flying directly to Vancouver, some will find flights through Toronto or  Montreal. In that case, additional fees will apply to fly your dog to Vancouver by cargo. Unaccompanied cargo costs within Canada range from $350 - $550 depending on the size of the dog. LALDR will be as transparent as possible with you regarding these costs. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. [MID-EAST] *Vaccinations: Dogs from the Middle East are vaccinated for rabies, parvo, distemper, leptospirosis, adenovirus type 1 and para-influenza. Bordetella is not given, as that has not been a problem in the Middle East. [TURKEY] *Dogs receive 4D SNAP tests - which include: Heartworm, Ehrlichiosis, Leishmania and Anaplasmosis. ##2116453##

Story
Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 🐶💛 Meet Nilla – A Loving and Energetic Golden Mix Girl 💛 🐾 Name: Nilla 🎂 Age: Estimated 7–8 months 🚺 Gender: Female ⚖️ Weight: 19 kg (≈ 42 lbs) 🐕 Breed: Golden Retriever Mix 💛 Personality & Charm Nilla is a sweet, affectionate, and energetic girl who loves people more than anything! She’s always wagging her tail, eager to be near her humans, and full of puppy joy. 🩷 She’s an active, happy girl who thrives with attention, play, and daily adventures. 🌳🐾 Adults: Absolutely loves everyone she meets. Children: Great with kids but may be too energetic for very young children — she sometimes jumps or playfully nibbles when excited. Dogs: Gets along wonderfully with other dogs! She loves to play, though can be a bit rough with large dogs. She’s gentle with puppies and adjusts her energy. She may get a little jealous if another dog approaches while she’s being petted. Cats: Very curious and approaches without fear. If a cat acts aggressively, she may bark or get excited, but otherwise coexists fine. 🚽 Potty Training Nilla is about 80 % outdoor-trained and improving fast. She uses pee pads when indoors, though prefers going outside. Her foster expects that as she matures, she’ll become fully outdoor-trained. 👉 A family who can take her for 3 short walks a day would be ideal. 🚶‍♀️ Walks & Leash Manners Nilla loves walks! She may pull slightly at the beginning until she relieves herself, but she calms down quickly. When she sees other dogs or cats, she can get excited — but if you hold the leash firmly and ask her to sit, she listens right away. She’s food-motivated, smart, and learns quickly. ✨ With consistent training, she’ll become a wonderful walking companion. 🏡 Home Life & Behavior No separation anxiety Chews on toys or wooden sticks when alone — please keep small or unsafe items out of reach Has never chewed furniture or walls Loves to be touched and cuddled 🤗 A bit scared of grooming (baths, nail trimming, ear cleaning), but she stays calm and never bites. She’s learning to trust and improving every week. 💔 Rescue Story Nilla was rescued from a city shelter’s euthanasia list. She nearly lost her chance at life, but thanks to rescuers’ love and care, she was saved and is now ready to find her forever family. Nilla is full of love, intelligence, and joy. She’s ready to bring endless affection and smiles to the family who opens their heart to her. 💛 Adopt Nilla and let her bright spirit light up your home. 🐾
