🐾❤️ Meet Slade ❤️🐾
📍 Available through FairyTails Pet Adoptions
Named after the gateway to adventure in Kentucky’s beautiful Red River Gorge, Slade is ready to start the greatest adventure of all — finding a forever family. 🏕️🌲
This gorgeous 3½ month old Golden Retriever mix weighs around 25 lbs and has already overcome more in her short life than most dogs ever should. Slade came to FairyTails as an owner surrender alongside her Golden Retriever mom, who has since found a loving home of her own. Now this sweet girl is patiently waiting for her turn.
While mom was a Golden Retriever, dad remains a mystery — though Slade and her siblings definitely have the adorable look of black Lab mixes. What truly makes Slade special, though, isn’t her breed mix… it’s her resilient spirit.
When the puppies arrived, they were critically ill and fighting to survive. They battled parvo, parasites, coccidia, dehydration, and multiple medical complications. FairyTails invested over $2,000 into hospitalization, medications, and lifesaving care for this litter. Heartbreakingly, one puppy did not survive.
But Slade kept fighting.
Today, this brave girl has officially received a clean bill of health and is finally ready to live the happy puppy life she deserves. ✨
Slade is playful, affectionate, adventurous, and full of personality. She loves attention, enjoys exploring, and would make the perfect companion for hiking trails, road trips, backyard zoomies, or cozy evenings on the couch. Her happy expression says it all — she’s just thankful for a second chance.
After surviving such a hard beginning, we know the best chapter of her story is still ahead. ❤️
