Hi I'm Steve Bob John Wayne! I have quite the name but I'm usually called Steve. I'm a very social dog, I love all other dogs, I am great with people and I like to snuggle. I am kennel trained but if I know you are home or coming to get me, I will bark. If no one is around, I settle and sleep in my kennel. I do love playing with toys and I can even entertain myself. I have met a cat, I'm not mean with the cat but when I see her, I'm pretty much focused on her. She's so cool to watch, I don't want to hurt her...so any home of mine should probably have a cat that is used to cats with a lot of spots for them to sit on. The wonderful people I'm with, don't understand why I've been with them since December. They say I'm "the best boy" and they can't say enough good things about me! If you're looking for an awesome dog with a sweet and loving personality...I'm your boy! I am up to date with my rabies, DHPP, I've been on a normal deworming schedule and they give me meds to make sure I get no fleas or ticks! I was also microchipped when I was neutered. His adoption fee is $450 plus tax. ****Forever Fido Puppy Rescue is located near Rochester, MN. We will not ship dogs and a Meet & Greet with the dog you are interested in is required to be done in person.****

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Forest is a wonderful work in progress. He is a mixed breed guy who has been with us since Dec., 2021. We didn't put him up for adoption right away as he was very shy and shutdown. Some of our wonderful volunteers have been working with him, taking baby steps, and we think he's ready to transition into a forever home. However it will have to be a very special, secure, and patient home. Forest has been fully vetted and his fee of $125 is sponsored. Forest originally came to rescue from a Reservation in South Dakota. He was on the run for quite a while before he was live trapped. He is likely now over 5 years old. He is still extremely shy but responds well to treats and kind words. He's learning to go for walks and enjoys it. We think he would be okay with a well mannered, somewhat confident dog. Due to his shy nature, he's looking for an experienced ADULT only home (teens are fine). We have no way of knowing about cats. SECURELY FENCED YARD REQUIRED. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications can be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South.
