--FOSTER PUPDATE--Chipper A17977235 lb. neutered male, approx 4 years old -I’m a sweet, affectionate, and super smart boy who loves making new human friends.-My specialty? Giving lots of kisses and staying close to the people who show me love.-I’m treat-motivated, easy to train, and I already know my basics—sit, lay down, up, and stay. Gold-star student incoming!-I’m a medium–high energy pup who loves kicking off the morning with a fun toy session.-Walks are one of my favorite activities, and I strut nicely on leash like the gentleman I am.-I’m happiest when I’m with my people. I can feel a little sad when left alone, so I’d make an amazing work-from-home buddy. With some patient training, I’ll gain more confidence being on my own.-I currently live with my foster dog brother—we get along great (even though he totally lets me be the boss).-I haven’t met kids or cats yet, but I’m open to making new friends with the right introductions!This pet is in a foster home! Story
We love Haukea. His birthday is 12/12/19. He went to puppy play, was socialized, went to the dog park and had a yard of his own. We lived in Washington State. When he was 1yr old he fell out of the back car window. It was during covid and we rushed him to the only open animal hospital. The doctor did exploratory surgery on his front left foreleg and found nothing wrong. Four weeks later he was still not standing on his paw normally. 3 vets later, after red light laser, acupuncture, twice weekly water therapy and over $7000 he was still not able to stand on his paw normally. We gave up trying to fix it. We have recently moved to downtown Detroit into a high rise apartment. Howie doesn’t get to socialize with other dogs here and desperately wants to. He has no soft grass or real playtime. We never castrated him for ethical reasons. He always was extremely passive. Without dog parks walking only on concrete his leg injury is worse & developing a fear of otherdogs.

Story
Koda Bean is a 4 year old purebred Australian Shepherd. He is your typical velcro dog, extremely loyal. He has a lot of energy and loves playing with people and other dogs. Koda has epilepsy. He is currently on 2 seizure medications and Prozac. He typically has a few seizures a month, we are trying to get them under control. I unfortunately can no longer afford his care and do not have the ability to play and exercise him as much as his breed calls for. He is a fairly anxious dog and would do well with someone who can spend lots of time with him, although he is crate trained as well.
