A food-motivated learner, he is remarkably self-aware and retreats to his crate when he needs a break, is stressed, or has anxiety. To thrive, Chico requires a single-pet, adult-only household with a dog-savvy owner. Predictability: He loves routine and thrives in low-traffic homes. Personal Space: Chico has a bite history linked to fear triggers (visitors, being startled, other dogs, if someone tries to take his food, being in the car ). He requires his quiet time in the evenings, leave him to be/rest No Other Pets: Due to dog aggression and resource guarding, he must be the only animal in the home. Does not get along w/other animals & is aggressive Minimal Travel: Car rides are stressful for him and trigger reactivity. He is crate-trained and responds beautifully to positive reinforcement. Atlas is a 1-year-old, 34 lb Springer Spaniel looking for a patient home where he can finally feel brave. He’s as soft as a rabbit and, once he’s comfortable, he literally hops through the yard with joy! The Highlights: • Bunny-Soft: His black-and-white fur is incredibly plush, fit for a pro cuddler like Atlas. • The Soloist: A sensitive singer who will serenade the house for a few minutes when his favorite human leaves. • The Ultimate Shadow: Once he picks his person, he’s a loyal friend for life. • Smart Student: Food-motivated and already learning "sit," "stay," and "come." Atlas’s Wishlist: • A Dog Mentor: He must have a confident dog sibling to show him the ropes. This is REQUIRED. • Secure Fence: He is still skittish on a leash and needs a safe space to zoom. This is REQUIRED. • Patience & Presence: He is working on mastering potty training. He sleeps in the crate at night but doesn’t like being left alone for too long, so we need someone who is home more often than not. With the right leader and a steady routine, he is going to be the most devoted companion imaginable. Meet Clementine, the sweetest and softest girl on the block! Clementine is a 4-year-old, 36 lb English Springer Spaniel whose personality has been blossoming in her foster home. Though she’s said to be 4, she has the playful energy of a 2-year-old and loves cuddles and playtime. She gets along great with her two foster dog brothers (a Springer and a Lab), doesn’t mind the foster cat, and has enjoyed meeting dogs of all sizes in the neighborhood. Clementine can be a little shy when first meeting new people and likes to make the first move, but give her about five minutes, and she’ll happily become your new best friend. She’s been doing well learning leash walking and crate training. While she doesn’t love the crate when her people are home, she settles nicely in it during the day and will even go in on her own for a treat. At night, she prefers sleeping at the end of the bed with her foster family. Clementine is house-trained with access to a dog door and fenced yard in her foster home, and she’s proven to be very smart. We are REQUIRING a fenced in yard for her as her foster parents feel this is necessary for her well-being. Overall, Clementine is an incredibly sweet dog who will make a wonderful cuddle buddy for the right family. She does tend to pick a favorite person, so continued socialization will be important. Because of this, she’s looking for a home with kids 12+, and another confident dog in the home would be ideal. You must live in METRO ATLANTA to adopt him. Weighing nearly 40 lbs at just 5–6 months old, Everest is bound to be a big, handsome boy! This English Springer Spaniel mix may be shy at first, but he warms up quickly and shows off his sweet, affectionate personality. Everest is playful, energetic, and loves his toys. He’s always ready for fun. While he can be nervous when first meeting new dogs, he does best with confident, non-reactive canine companions who help him feel secure. Because he truly thrives with a dog buddy, we are REQUIRING another confident dog in his forever home. We are currently working on his leash skills, but at this time Everest will not potty on leash. For that reason, a securely fenced yard is required to set him up for success. Everest is also very affectionate and loves to give kisses. He enjoys being pet and is highly food motivated, which will be a big plus for continued training. He is crate-trained, though he prefers not to be crated for long periods of time. With the right guidance, structure, and companionship, Everest will grow into a loyal and loving best friend.
