Story
Hi Brittany Lovers! My name is Hank and I am approximately 18 months old. When I got to NBRAN, I visited the vet and got all my vaccines and I was neutered. I am heartworm negative and I take my monthly heartworm preventatives like a good boy!  I am a very handsome male French Brittany, if I do say so myself. Actually, everyone that meets me says I am very handsome! At 30 lbs., I am a little guy.  I can be very shy, but I can also be very loving. One thing for sure, I don’t like you touching my feet!  Because, I had lived my life in a kennel with a concrete floor, I did not play or walk in the grass much.  That makes going to the potty on the grass confusing for me.  I was only allowed to relieve myself on the concrete.  I am very smart, but sometimes habits can be hard to break, and house training has not been easy for me.  I would love a home with a housetrained doggie friend that would help me learn the ropes, but I am proud to say that I have done so well on my housetraining, I might not need another dog to show me the ropes.  I have never been around cats, but I don’t think I would like them very much! My foster family loves me but wants me to have a family of my very own.  I am still fixated with rolling in things that don’t smell so good, but my foster mom has worked with me, and I am getting lots better.  I need a home with a fenced backyard to run in, and a doggie door would help me with housetraining, although it is not a “must have.” I am a Houdini in my collar and harness and have been known to try to get out of them (successfully) and explore. Do you think you would like me to come be part of your family? If you have patience and a loving home where I can have fenced yard, I would love to come live with you! My adoption fee is $400 to help offset the expenses associated with getting me ( and other fabulous rescued Brittanys) in great condition for a fabulous new home.  You don't have to live in Tennessee, NBRAN will transport me up to 1400 miles to my furever home. Please contact Suzanne Horsley ztasuzanne@gmail.com or Debbie Tuthill agilitybrits@gmail.com  to find out more about me! Story
Meet Your New Best Friend! Jayce is a 3-year-old Brittnay Mix who is looking for his forever home. While he might be a little shy when you first meet him, give him a moment to come out of his shell, and you'll find a funny, bouncy, and deeply loving companion. Jayce is a "paws-on" kind of dog! He is famous for his hugs and will spend his time trying to wrap his paws around you if he isn't already trying to curl up in your lap. He is the perfect blend of a lounge partner and a playmate. Because of his cautious temperament, Jayce has some specific needs to help him feel safe and successful: No Other Dogs: He prefers being the "only child" and can be reactive toward strange dogs. Quiet Environment: He would not enjoy the high-stress environment of a dog park. Patient Humans: He needs an owner who understands he needs to approach new things at his own pace. No Strangers (at first): He can be vocal with people he doesn't know, but his loyalty to his inner circle is unmatched. If you have the patience to let him blossom, you will be rewarded with a level of love and loyalty that only a dog like Jayce can give. He is ready to be your most devoted friend. Jayce's adoption fee is $325 to offset the cost of vetting and help other rescues in need. He is currently located in Georgia and can be transported up to 1400 miles via our Canine Railroad. Story
Abby — Her Happily-Ever-After Is Waiting Hi there… I’m Abby, and I have a very important question for you: Do you have room in your heart and on your couch for a girl who has been waiting a very long time to belong to someone? I’m a beautiful 55-lb liver, white & roan Brittany/GSP mix, and if there’s one thing you should know about me, it’s that I LOVE with my whole heart. I’m healthy, spayed, heartworm and tick negative, and on prevention. Now all I’m missing is my forever family. I’m the perfect combination of silly and snuggly. I’ll get a case of the zoomies, race around and enjoy myself, and then—just like that—I’m ready to curl up beside you for some serious couch time. ️ I’m pretty sure being a professional cuddle buddy is the job I was born to do. And personal space? Well… I may have heard of it. If you’re my person, I want to be with you. That’s why getting a good picture of me can be tricky—I’d much rather be leaning against you, sitting beside you, or soaking up your love than posing for the camera. I Want to Be Your One & Only Abby loves her people BIG, and she would be happiest as the only dog in her forever home. But please don’t think of that as something she’s missing. Think of it this way: one very special girl gets to give one very lucky family ALL of her heart. ❤️ She isn't asking for doggie siblings. She is asking for YOU—someone who wants a devoted companion, a couch-sharing partner and a best friend who will be thrilled every single day that you came home. A physical fenced yard is required so Abby can safely enjoy her sunshine, sniffing adventures and those adorable bursts of zoomies before coming back inside to her favorite place—right next to her person. Her Past Is Behind Her. Her Future Is What Matters. Abby's life wasn't always easy. There was a time when she was frightened, confused and facing a future that almost ended far too soon. Kind people chose to give her another chance. And Abby did something beautiful with that chance. She blossomed. Today, we don't want Abby's story to be about what almost happened to her. We want it to be about what happens next. We want the next chapter to be about the day someone saw her sweet face and decided: “That's my girl.” A warm bed. A safe yard. A spot on the couch. A human to follow from room to room. A lifetime of belly rubs, kisses and being ridiculously spoiled. That's the ending we're looking for. ❤️ Abby doesn't need a perfect world. She just needs to be someone's girl. And whoever chooses her won't simply be giving Abby her forever home… They'll be getting a loyal, affectionate, wonderfully silly girl who has been saving an enormous amount of love for the family she can finally call her own. Abby is ready. Her bags are packed. Her heart is wide open. Her couch-cuddling skills have been perfected. Now she just needs someone to say, “Abby, you're home.” The adoption fee for OK/Abby,  who lives in Tulsa, OK area  is $325, (which helps to offset our vetting and allows NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful family members.  If you are interested in making OK/Abby part of your family, please complete the online application by visiting www.nbran.org .  Please let your state coordinator know so we can get the ball rolling.  Also, please email the state coordinator of OK/Abby-Melinde Waddle @ macgammy@gmail.com  Once approved by your state coordinator, I will setup talking with you about Abby. Transportation can be arranged up  to 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for at least the last 100 miles.    August 30, 2026, 2:51 pm
