Rocky came to the shelter as a stray. He was found left by a restaurant sign guarding the area. As soon as law enforcement went out to get, Rocky, he let them know what he thought of them. Even though he was upset with law enforcement being there, he wouldn`t leave his spot next to the sign. Staff from the shelter was asked for help. Shortly after the call ther director went out to help contain a dog that wasn`t friendly. Rocky wasn`t happy to see her either but after sometime talking to him, shelter staff were able to load him up in the vehicle and brought him to the shelter. Rocky has been slow to open up to strangers, only befriending a few select staff and volunteers. We know he has the ability to get there! Rock will need a home with No kids and multiple meetings before going home. *The shelter was lucky enough to get a call about him and learned he was left there by his own owner. The person calling was able to give his name and age and how he ended up next to the sign. Meet handsome Scooter! He's a 7-year-old gentleman weighing about 20lbs. After losing his owner suddenly, Scooter would do best in a quiet home & preferably as the only dog where he can have all the attention to himself. Since it takes him a bit to warm up, Scooter will need a patient human willing to give him the time & space to settle in & understand that he is safe & loved. Affection & playtime are on his terms but once he warms up he is such a sweetheart & will adorn you with lots of little kisses! He loves to nap & lounge, but he'll do the zoomies & run around when he gets excited! He requires minimal exercise but enjoys a daily walk around the neighborhood & walks very well on a leash. Scooter sleeps great through the night (preferably on your bed) & does very well going potty outside. With an established routine in his forever home, accidents won't be an issue. Scooter gets along well with other dogs, but he doesn't engage very much; he prefers to be near his humans. Cats are unknown but we imagine he'd do well. He would do best with older children.
