This incredibly soft, quiet girl is a gentle observer of the world who is slowly learning what it means to be loved. While she may appear aloof at first, she is simply a dog who is discovering the comforts of home—likely for the first time in her life. Sailor finds her true confidence through the company of others. She is much braver when she has a small, friendly dog by her side to show her the ropes, so she would thrive best in a home with a resident canine companion. She is a remarkably peaceful presence and has yet to bark, making her an ideal match for a household that prefers a quiet atmosphere. Her journey of discovery is truly touching. Because she likely never had simple comforts in her past, Sailor will often push away plush blankets to sleep on the hard floor. However, she is starting to take an interest in toys; while she hasn't quite figured out how to "play" yet, she has found great joy in carrying them around like little treasures. In terms of daily life, Sailor is mostly house-trained and handles transitions well, though she still needs a bit of help with stairs.
