Hi, I’m Heidi!I’m a sweet, silly, energetic girl who loves life and the people in it. I get very excited to meet new friends—grown-ups, kids, dogs, you name it! I’m friendly, happy, and always ready to play.One of my favorite things in the world is fetch, especially if a soccer ball is involved. I love being active and playful, and I do best when I have someone who enjoys spending time playing with me and helping me burn off my energy. I’m fully house trained and will let you know when I need to go outside—I’ll head right to the back door. Once I’m done, I usually want to come straight back inside to be with my people.I live peacefully with other dogs and even a cat. I get excited when I first meet new animals, but once introductions are made, I settle in just fine and take social cues well. I’ve also been great with children of all ages and have never shown aggression, though I think I’d really love a home with older kids or adults who can help me practice my manners and training.I know “sit” and “stay,” though staying focused—especially outdoors or when treats are involved—is something I’m still working on. Walking on a leash and recall are also areas where I could use some extra guidance. If I accidentally get loose, I tend to take off running before eventually coming back, so a secure home and continued training are very important for me.When my humans leave, I might bark for a bit, but I’m not destructive. I just don’t love being alone. I also won’t tear up toys or furniture, but I will help myself to any food left within reach—so keeping counters clear is a good idea!I’m a loving, playful companion who thrives with patience, consistency, and time.
