Luna is doing well with her potty training and continues to improve as she settles into a routine. She’s comfortable in her crate and we’re helping her gain confidence going in on her own. On walks, Luna is learning her leash manners—she does well overall and just needs a little practice with pulling. She’s a thoughtful observer who likes to take things in from a distance, but once she’s comfortable, she happily comes over for pets and affection. Luna seems to do well around other dogs and, while she can be a bit skittish at first, she is incredibly sweet and gentle at heart. She would probably prefer a calmer companion pup. With patience, love, and reassurance, this precious girl will truly shine. New foster dogs need time to feel safe. They may be skittish or fearful, so always stay with them outside—even in fenced yards. Ensure collars and leashes fit securely to prevent escapes. Your gentle presence and protection help them feel loved and secure. The adoption fee helps allow Perfect Paws to provide all animals with current, age appropriate vaccinations which include, DHLPP, Kennel Cough and Rabies (if the pet is at least 13 weeks old), and spay/neuter when necessary. The fee also helps with the cost of deworming; heartworm testing (if the pet is at least 1 year old), heartworm prevention as well as flea and tick prevention for animals cared for through the rescue.
