**Teddy has started the adoption process, wish him luck!!If you`ve ever dreamed of having your own oversized teddy bear, your wish has four legs and a wagging tail! Teddy is a stunning Golden Retriever mix whose heart is just as big as his 100+ pound frame. Shelter life has been a little tough on him, but once he feels safe, he transforms into a goofy, high-energy, affectionate companion who believes laps come in all sizes. His favorite things include chasing and playing with balls, exploring the world with his people, and hunkering down for snuggles after a day of activity. Teddy would love an active family who enjoys daily walks, hikes, games of fetch, and cozy evenings together. He`s lived successfully with young children, done well with other active dogs, and has reportedly been okay with cats (slow introductions with a dog-savvy cat are recommended, though). Teddy also knows some commands, stays close to his people, and is exceptionally cooperative for grooming (including baths and teeth brushing!). He does have allergies that are well-managed with a hypoallergenic diet, and this will need to be continued to keep him itch- and pain-free. Teddy has also displayed consistent resource guarding behaviour over food and other high-value items, so his adopters should be prepared to manage this, particularly around children or other pets to keep everyone safe. In return for a lifetime of walks, cuddles and management, Teddy will reward his future family with memories to last a lifetime!A little bit about Teddy:- previously lived with children, supervised interactions required- open to dog-savvy cats, slow intros required- open to dogs pending successful intros- has consistently displayed aggression when resource guarding high-value items/food
